Aston Martin DB9 Tuning & Settings

Anyone have any settings for this great beautiful car? I tried the search button with searches like Aston Martin, Aston Martin DB9, but it seems like settings for V8 Vantage and Vanquish were posted but not the DB9.
Anyone willing to share? :)

I love my DB9, it's a fantasticly smooth car. It's abolutely a DRT (Designated Ring Toy), as it loves the Nordschliefe.

However, I've not modded it one bit, save to turn off the ASM and turn down the TCS. Have you spent much time driving it stock? I highly recommend it.

I realize that's not much help, sorry. Good luck though.

There are many fantastic tuners on the board. I'm sure someone will pop up with uber fast settings before you know it.

Its an amazing car with all stock settings! I have to agree with that. But, it just need a few upgrades to keep up with those TVR, SLR, and etc. I am trying to use this car as many races as i can cause i just love it!

I just made a set-up for the DB9. It's now one of my favorite tuned cars. Hope you like it...

I love this car, only problem I have is the tire wear, my setup might be wrong,
but I have to pit every 2 laps at the 'ring with S2 tires?! :guilty:

I'm not sure, I'll check later because I'm in the middle of "1000 miles" ! Just done 25 laps @ the 'ring in a Jag E-Type so I don't want to quit now!

...this great beautiful car...

I just saw one in person for the first time a couple of days ago. It is without question the most beautiful automobile I have ever seen.

I live in Southern California, so basically I live in the middle of a 24-hour-a-day car show. I've seen them all. Name the great exotic or classic and I've seen it several times. That DB-9 puts them all to shame. Every line, every curve, every proportion, and every detail is perfect. It is without doubt the most visually stunning car I've seen.

As good as it looks in pictures, they don't do it justice. You have to see one in person to really understand.

she is hefty if you dont get the weight reduction surgery no>? so you need to brake early. i like to preserve her a-specingability but i imagine it would be quite a faster car with stage one and two done.

The DB9 is a fine car, all right. I wouldn't go so far as to call it the prettiest out there myself (I personally feel the Vanquish and Corvette beat it in the looks department), but it is yet another gorgeous car from Aston Martin.

Might I suggest a bit less downforce on the front? That seemed to work nicely towards stabilizing my Viper, so it might work for the DB9 as well (same layout).

Your tcs setting?

It was on 5, but I changed everything again and the car REALLY goes now! I have changed so much that I don't remember where the settings were on default. Not everything can be reset. I don't know if it is bad, but I did a lap of the 'ring in 6:32.7
I only have one problem now. The flippin rear keeps sliding out, :yuck: at first I though I need more traction, but it does the same when I break! As soon as I hit the brakes the rear wheels wants to overtake me!
Any help? :nervous:

You need to post everything you have changed. If you want to go back default, try switchiing to set b or c.

Bul
right, I'll try that, 👍 gimme a few minutes and I'll post my settings

I think everything is on default except I'm
not sure what these are supposed to be-
Brake balance- front 3 rear 5
Ballast 0
Front/Rear balance 0
TCS 8

The rear slides out when I break

I recommend you set for Duck's tune posted above. 997's tune also looks nice, but it might be a little less balanced with so wide a spread on the damper settings. Try either and post your results, if you'd like, and we can go from there.

Duck's and 997's settings seems to work fine, especially on winding tracks. I can't adjust the downforce 'cause I didn't put a wing on this beauty. I left the settings like that but just changed these:
Ballast weight- 2
Front / Rear - -20
Brake balance Front -3 Rear -5
seems to be better now :)
I just went under 1:07 on Midway :dopey:

lol nice, tcs 8 is the best , hahhahahaa, nice man. good improvements though, under 1'07 is pretty good.

maybe ill try out ducks settings too, ive never used my aston

I'm driving this car completely stock and it handles well. I love the sound and the slight oversteer.

*shameless plug* see it in my British sports car road test in the write up section *shameless plug*

I used R3 ,no wing and no NOS. I struggle a bit with the sports tyres :nervous:

as expected, if sports tires were so good id use it in all my races, i wouldnt want to pay 50k for r5's, lol. sport tires are standards, and mediums at that.

djaft3rb3ats

I don't mind paying that much for the tyres, but some of the races racing tyres are not allowed.
djaft3rb3ats I will put on sports medium and see what I can get on Midfield. Still no wing or NOS. :)
