If the UK players can get to do a TT and win a trip to the Goodwill Festival, Then why can't other people have there own TT in there own countries and win a trip to a motor sport near them, I know i would love to go to Bathurst again
Sponsors. This is a prize given by Aston Martin. There's nothing stopping any other car manufacturer (or other company) from offering their own prizes to Sony for inclusion in a Seasonal.

So hurrah for Aston, boo for other companies.

I agree though that the rest of the world should have access to the Time Trial for their own 1m (x login bonus) in-game reward.

So angry with myself, been following the guy in third and the number of times I've been a tenth or so ahead of him going into the twisty dark section and binned it... I'm 11th but should be at least a couple of tenths quicker, would be easier if they cut down those damn trees which make everything dark. :grumpy:

I managed to get gold by about half a second and left it. I aren't going to get anywhere into the mid-high 40s with a DS3 (especially one which is slowly dying) so Ill take the cash and run!

Had a 'play' with the Aston earlier - it's one of the easiest cars to keep on this track ha ha :dunce:... Didn't really push it too hard got the Gold easy enough still 6 secs off the speed freaks might session it tomorrow and switch off the tcs so there are no driving aids on  I noticed on GT5 they slow you down, however some cars can't be driven without the ASM on because they are just stupidly overpowered lol

Yeah, it's really hard to see!

Had a little run after work this evening and got down to a 47.534 with the ds3 for 28th place at the time of the lap, 1.001s behind bandit in 1st :) pretty pleased with that, look forward to putting in more effort when i'm not so tired :)

Also, is it not possible to use "Goodwood" laps in the data logger, because i'd like to get a better look at where im losing time!?

Look at those times ... British drivers are dominating!

Real cow, Real wood - tastes like a proper Aston - The car of choice for the English Footballing elite. So run the time trial quickly, before they get dumped out of the Weltmeisterschaft, and want their car back.

Got into the 46 second club after both failed runs and internet issues. I'm happy with 4th.

Easiest 1 millions credits I've ever earned in GT. Got gold on my first run, got below 50 on my second. Might come back to this later, but there's no chance I'll even get close to winning.

Why are you looking at the trees? The track is where it's at my friend...:banghead: Try adjusting your brightness contrast settings a little. You should be anticipating turns/bends with high speed straights into braking sections and adjusting accordingly. Don't drive slower just be committed as Bob

I could try my brightness/contrast settings, I try to be committed but then I hit the wall so I drive slower I hit the wall and then I'll go on a run for about half an hour where I nail it every time then back into the same routine. :D Probably a mental thing as much as anything.

I find the trees useful because the patch of light on the road is my marker for turning in. Well, just after it :)

47.331 for 21st, i think if i nail it i can knock off another 4tenths :)

EDIT: 47.216 for 16th, losing most of my time in that sharp uphill right left kink in the shade :(

How do you get that rapid start? Is it impossible with the stick controller? You top guys have got half a second on me at the first checkpoint. Not that makes too much of a difference cos you have 2 seconds on me at the end.

Well I use the standard configuration (X to go and square to stop) and it really is all about launching at the right revs to avoid bogging down or spinning the tyres too much. You just have to find the sweet spot. ;)

Also if you use manual gears, try shifting into 2nd at 41 or 42 mph at the start and don't go any lower than 3rd thought the run.

I was looking forward to this... Racing Slicks...
What were Q Branch expecting to find going up that Hill to warrant a set of these super sticky boots?

Still the Kazulas will pay for some Bollinger and a few games of Baccarat down the local Casino.
Is that Sylvia Trench I see...

Saw this and couldn't resist a little go, did a 48.4xx after just a few tries.

I probably won't spend any more time on this thing, for two reasons: one, it's a distraction from GT Academy; two, I haven't really got a hope of actually winning.

Just imagine if the winner of this event proceeded to enter the GT Academy live event at Goodwood... that'd be a crazy way to qualify for the national finals :D

I'm not eligible to enter GT Academy any more though... :guilty:

Go full throttle and resist short shifting, gave me consistently good starts.
