ATAQ - a time trial experiment

Hi, very nice idea!
As long as i can bring a Porsche to the party, i'm in!

But i can't start lapping before the Manu Cup races are finished on Saturday.

A few questions:

• Is there a way to see other participants times in the game?
• What about Lachgas (i guess it's 'nitros' in english)? That doesn't add to the PP afaik. (I'd rather ban it, than use it)
• Wouldn't it be nice to post the tuning settings as well as the time board? So everybody could have a go with that tuned car and maybe we could learn from each others setups.

This event ends at 11th of May so there is still some time left to compete. This premier round is a test and we will discuss some aspects for round 2.

The best lap times of the other participants can only be seen when they finish this round. So I guess it will be in May when final results will be published. The idea is not to feel comfortable in a gold zone or something like that but push again until you won't improve further. From what I heard lap times seem to be already sub-55...

I don't use nitro and have not thought about it. You can tell me what you think but for the moment I would ban Nitro (on the list for the future to discuss). Thanks for this question!

Yes, you can publish your tuning and setup and it might be helpful. But it isn't mandatory as everyone should feel free. I am pretty sure that you will get support if you ask the people in this subforum.

Posting the time on board means end of participation since your post means your entry and is only ONE time .
Although a small info doesn't harm anyone.
Personally am at 53's xxx with a 4 wheel drive from Japan ( my skills are medium, mostly Silver at TT's )
I start from 55''s went to 54's and the " right " car put me at 53's always a 4x4.


Nitro is forbidden but tunes can be shared and perhaps needed to do so especially after posting our lap time on board ,so everyone can take a note of how it's done .
We're not specialists on tuning and everyone has his preferences but i guess it's useful to share among us so we can learn something from eachother as you wrote.

If you don't understand something, just ask .
In general is a fully equipped car with everything that it takes .
Turbo is low rpm and that's it .

Also the gearbox is a bit changed according to my preferences and isn't show up at the pics.

Nope, it is an ordinary japanese 4wd car that was really built and road legal. Anyway it is a lot slower than yours while I am driving...

The EVO final for example seems faster at the numbers on tuning sheet ( acceleration digits) but at the track ........ eat all the dust 😂

Are engine swaps allowed? Especially racing engines into road cars? Sorry if it's been explained already.

I will try and see if I can detune a GT1 Strassenversion. It still drives really well on sports softs and I love this car. Would also be fun to see if a Valkyrie can be detuned enough and how well it still performs then. But Lancers, GT-Rs, NSXs and such could be fun too.

@Wilsonson as far as I know there is ONLY One submission .
RM tyres as 670pp are mandatory and for last there's no way to build a Valkyrie at 670pp and be able to go straight 🤣

this first event is a test and some aspects will be discussed for further time trials. Right now any engine is allowed as long as it suits in a road car. Racing Medium is the only compound at the moment. Nitro is forbidden.

If you read this thread backwards you might get already some hints... (kind of backwards messaging) There will probably be no meta and a growing tension untill finally every lap times are published.

To make this point clear: sending a pic with your lap times ends your participation of this round.

Fortunately we are getting more people involved in this ATAQ thing. 👍 That's why I like to repeat my wish for a vid of your best and final lap (#ataq670). It is not necessary but I would like to see and learn...
