Now that season 2 is over I want to concentrate on producing quality tunes for my storefront. I worked with Spagetti69 and Forcone for my C class MX-5 and the tune and paint are doing well so far. I'd like to work solely with FPM members for my next releases....they will be a Datsun 510, '63 Beetle, and the Vauxhall VX220. If you have already have a quality paint for any of these cars that would be great. If not, a good replica or fantasy livery would be needed for promotional purposes.
I just need a good paint to go along with my tune...you get credit for your paint and I send my customers to your storefront to pick up your paint.

Forcone has been a helpful (and fast) test driver but more fast guys would be even better...as I'm shooting for top 100 or better times before I release the tunes.
I'll let the test drivers know which track or tracks the tune is for, but you're encouraged to run the car anywhere you think you can put up a good time.
Feedback on the tune is appreciated during the testing process.
Any questions, please ask away.

Hopefully some of you guys would like to take part in some of these projects.
If I can't get a FPM member to paint, Spagetti69 will be my go to painter.

Edit-The Datsun is a re-release of my F class Suzuka East tune, the Beetle is E class, and the Vauxhall will be either A or B class.

Thanks. I'll gift the tunes and message you the track list later today. The tunes are pretty much finished...just need some good lap times and maybe one or 2 small adjustments. If you make a change to the tune during testing that improves lap times please let me know what change you made. The paints for the Vauxhall and Datsun would be priority. :cheers:

Something for any of those would be great. I've sent the tunes to Fezz and Forcone for testing....I'm in the #150 to #250 range on the boards on a couple of tracks in the cars right now. :cheers:

I will work on some ideas later this evening after I grill some steaky steaks and eat them! I will gift some pics as I come up with ideas and just let me know yay or nay. Looking forward to it!
 
Glad you didn't give up on Forza since the last race! Are you planning to do other classes as well?

I was just mad at the time so I said I was giving it up for a while. I probably will spend less time racing and more time tuning and testing...and I'm actually in the middle of a tuning comp at FM.net. I'll let you know when I start working on some S and R class tunes....I'll send them over for you to test but I'm sticking with the cars I can put up good times with myself, for now. :lol:

Yeah, but you may want to touch base with Fezz and Jimbo. I'm only working on 3 cars right now and I'd hate for you guys to waste your time by all painting the same car. :embarrassed:

Ha ha...no votes. The tunes are run by the same test drivers and the fastest times win or move on to the next round. I'm actually signed up for 3 comps at the same time now....it feels good when your car runs a better time than some of the so called ''elite'' Forza tuners. :D

I'm sure whatever you come up with will be good...fantasy or replica. Jimbo is working on a paint for the Datsun but I haven't been on the Box to look at the pics he sent me yet.

My next releases after this group of cars will probably be the Mazda 2 and Lotus Elan if you'd like to come up with something....probably be the end of the month before I have them ready for testing. Thinking about the Porsche 550 too.
 
I have a few ideas for the Porsche and the Elan. I will probably draw something up while I'm away. A well tuned car needs a well designed skin!!! Not with flames..haha
 
@Saskman, the Elan livery looks good. Thanks. @Fezz, Forcone, and Marmite, I've made some changes to the brake settings on those tunes. I'll send you guys the new tunes or message you over Live what changes to make....it may be next week before I have time to get on the Box.

I'm in 8th overall out of 32 tuners thru the first 2 rounds....4 more rounds to go. My first round tune was only 15th but my 2nd round was 5th overall...that moved me up to 8th overall. The results aren't in yet from the other 2 comps I entered, but I feel like I did well. Thanks for asking. :)

Thanks Carlos. :) 5 tuners will be eliminated at the end of each round. I didn't put a lot of time into testing builds for the first round and it showed....one of the drivers told me my tune was great but my build let me down. I could have been much higher, but I still think I can make it to the final round.
 
Sorry Wiggs for not having had time to test your tunes. Just tried to do some laps with the Datsun, but I feel I didn't get all out of it yet. Achieved #157 on Ladera Mini, #297 on Tsukuba short and a bit worse than you on Suzuka East. If I put a lot of time to it, I could do better though.. :) On Tsukuba, I'm not sure whether the build is good for top 100 or not... Could be my driving though!

Overall the car feels very good, very solid. Maybe even a bit too solid for my liking. I feel it could lose some grip in order to gain a bit more speed to go faster..! Did you try it without the rollcage?

Thanks Forcone. I did try it without the rollcage but it was much looser and a bit slower on the twisty tracks in my hands. It would probably be a bit faster on tracks with longer straights and less corners. I'll send you a build without the cage and the updated versions of all 3 tunes today....I went with the cage build for the Datsun because it's easier for the average driver to get a hold of, and that's what I need for a storefront release. :) I've kinda changed my view on the top 100 aspirations for these tunes....these are more lobby tunes so top 100 isn't as important....good times on several different tracks is fine. The MX-5 was a leaderboard tune, so top 50 to 100 is a must.

Quiet around here lately. I've released the Datsun 510 tune. Thanks for helping with testing and painting guys. The Beetle is up next....hopefully in the next couple of weeks. If any of you besides Marmite have some lap times or liveries please let me know when you have time. Thanks. Just an update on my tuning projects. My C class Mazda and F class Datsun 510 are doing well and have a steady number of downloads and 4 and 5 star ratings coming in. :) I finished 4th out of 29 tuners in one of the tuning comps I'm in. I'm currently in 4th place out of 36 tuners after 3 rounds in another comp I'm in and moving up every round. My free Pinto tune for the "Don't Be Fuelish" Rivals event has been downloaded over 220 times in less than 24 hours, and made Turn 10 "Top Rated" and "Most Downloaded". I'm also currently ranked #35 overall on the tuner leaderboards. Thanks for all your help guys. The guys who did liveries from me have got some downloads and good ratings too. :cheers:
