The Australian version isn't online :grumpy: Which is why i'm not buying it.

UK version isn't online - but when the launch of our network adapter comes closer they will release an online compatible version of AM.

Same for you I guess.

I mnight get it then.

If it's online like I have heard that it's supposed to be, then I will be getting it for sure.

Anyone have any idea when it's to be released in the US?

Doesn't the UK have any online games at all? Surely Tony Hawk and those games must be online over there...

Tony Hawk's 3 and 4 are online, yes, but not officially. The games have support for the Network Adapter and 3rd party modems. Which if you do some trickery with, connect to a 3rd party modem, connect to your PC, use GameSpy Arcade and play online. Huzzah!

I have Tony Hawk's 4 for Christmas :D

Are you sure about this?

AM will get bought with the network adapter then, maybe we can have a GTP team.

It's out in Australia and the US version will be online.

I hate that, see thats why us brits and aussies got it first. Because we get the no network play bit and we most likely wont get it.

well apparently you still can link up a load of auto modellista much like what we do with timesplitters but there is no online play thats all I heard the network could have about 6 or 8 players on it.

I only saw this once when me and another friend (ben) went to sony experience thing in earl's court were I played that japanese version of auto modellista against another 6 players

I want the internet play so I can own all the people at GTP. I know I can own you, ben and slat already. :P

well C.V.G. said that trials for a europe going online for the ps2 has begun and it should be ready by march next year. I reckon they will bring out the same games again like Auto Modellista with online capabilities to help boost online play

Lucky buggar! We have the capability at my house, kind of. We have a network, but there's no place to plug in the PS2 unless I run my 100' Cat5 cable from upstairs in my parent's room to the ground floor. There's no way I can get that into the basement... Also, my parents won't let me get the ethernet adapter, and I'm upset about that, but I'm starting to use my PS2 less and less because of school and now that Raven Shield is going to come out sometime soon(I already have the demo, it's great, but there's a few glitches like all demos.)

I thought of maybe buying a ethernet hub just to split one end of our network from 1 plug to 4, even though i'd only use two of them, but my parents probably aren't too eager about us drilling through the walls in the house any more than we have. Anyone know if I can come over and 'learn' what it means to play PS2 online?
