I see we have about 6 participants :scared:

I am just wondering if this will still go ahead or if you wish to push it back to a later date so we can try and recruit more participants?

As stated above, the Aventador is too fast, and the Aston, too slow.
But good to see you joining. As you didn't make any of the practice sessions, I'll ask that you join the event as soon as it opens, so I can get some idea if what kind of driver you are. :)

It is kind of a let down, I'll admit. But I can't really push it back due to the RM Golf event in two weeks. I might decrease the number of laps slightly though.
 
Ooo, the LFA has been added? Hmm I may have to check this out in a few minutes, if I can get a similar pace to the MP4-12c then I will probably use it. Fatigue will set in after that many laps in the MP4-12c when using a pad.
 
Just a small reminder for everyone. I'm sure everyone already knows this, but I'm going to post it anyway.

Rules regarding off track are as follows. You're off track the moment you have more than two wheels off the asphalt. Using the green part in the corners, is allowed, as long as at least two wheels are still on the road. It's ok to accidently go slightly off track a few times during the race. However, should it happen more than a few times, you're required to slow down and re-enter the track without posing a risk to anyone else.
 
Well I'm looking forward to it. I shall be using the Lexus LFA, it's painted in a purply colour shift colour from the DLC Paint Pack. I will be on at 18:30 GMT ready to get a bunch of warm up laps in, just wondering how much my girlfriend is going to distract as the last online race I never had one.
 
With 7 people the race can be exciting as well, we'll see how the race goes. I'm going for the SLS AMG, it's not the fastest car. I hope the stability of this car gives me a good average speed throughout the race when the tyres wear.

That's perfectly fine. It's a privat lounge, so we don't get any problems from random people constantly joining. The lobby is open people.

Practice sessions are pretty hard for me to join as they are at random intervals and you had your set in the morning, no? Also, without a steady time frame I can forget as easily as you can blink. :dopey:

I'll be able to join as soon as possible since time seems to be on my side today. :D
 
Thanks Andy for setting up and hosting this race. It's always fun to have races with a few different cars. I managed to drive pretty consistent throughout the race, nearly followed someone off in the first chicane in the beginning. Other than that no real problems. Had a battle going on for a few laps with MattieM. The Ford GT has a big advantage over the Merc on the straights so when I got past I could quite easily pull away. Welsh-Bain was in a class of his own, both fast and consistent, congrats to the victory!
 
Personally I didn't enjoy the race a whole lot. Made a good deal of mistakes my self, and experienced what I presume is the bug everyone is talking about, on a few occasions. If not, then I have no idea why I lost all traction at certain times.

However, It was a chance to see just how ridiculesly fast some of you people are! The race was clean and fair, that's for sure.
 
Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to race with you guys. Not always easy being across the pond, but had the day off from work today, so figured why not. Race went pretty good for me and I was lucky enough to move through on the first lap as a few people had some 'moments' on cold tyres :). Didn't know if I could 1 stop with the Soft tyres, so just drove until things became a little tricky, which was around lap 8, when the left rear was making corner entry a little slippery! At this point I decided that a 2 stop race would probably be best, rather than risking a crash on bald tyres :). One spin exiting parabolica when I thought I'd try running through in a different gear to normal, but other than that, a clean race.

Them dam polystyrene boards, caught me out, I had a crash with someone I think and pitted for damage, came out and hit the first board saying 200m for the first corner.
 
It was a good race, 3rd again :(. Next time i pick a car which is more competetive, the SLS just couldn't keep up with the GT and 456 Italia. In the first lap i payed a visit to the gravel barge, soon as i came back on the track i was in last place. Second lap i found daibaspeed standing still on the track, so no challenge in overtaking him. I believe tuner307 was in the pits when i overtook him. 3rd lap i was suprised to see 3 people parked into te barriers at the first chicane after the long straight and cobrius didn't make that corner also. Suddenly is was in 2nd place with cobrius gaining on me, i was able to outbrake him a few times but that was all i could do. The other laps went pretty good, only one significant mistake after i drafted someone who was about to be lapped. I missed my braking point and landed into the gravel barge.

Congrats to welsh bain for his superb victory.

@M8h3r, that really sucks m8.

@jawehawk. I thought the online bug thing only affected lobbys with more than 12 people (dunno for sure, but something like that).

Same here. And that's why I can only presume. But as I said, I have no idea what would have caused me to loose grip otherwise.

I was driving the LFA. Lovely car to drive, only downfall was the moron behind the wheel trying to take out the distance markers :|

Now I remember what happened making me need to pit in the first place, I was drafting JohnWells69 and when I started to brake he carried on, me thinking I had braked way way to early decided to release the brakes, unfortunately both me and JohnWells69 found the wall, I was quite surprised to see Jawehawk parked there too.

HAHA! Yeah, I couldn't very well reverse back out on track before you had passed. Was quite a sight to see 4 cars comming at the chicane at the same time, with 2 cars deciding to join me. I didn't hit the wall though.
 
I liked this race, starting to get quicker and push harder. Made some mistakes, so had to pit to fix car. I think I just ran out of brakes, the incident at the chicane. Saw you come off a couple of times when I was behind you Andy, could have been the bug.

Looking forward to the next race...

I watched this event in the replay and laughed very hard. Andy barely touched the barrier, but seeing john using his horn before crashing very hard and m8h3r following shortly after is very amusing to see.
 
Yes Ive seen it myself, its funny. I don't mean to sound it, just comes on when Im trying to avoid crashing!!!!
 
After our previous Endurance some people quick fired some idea out for another. Well i've had one 👍

The Mazda Furai!!!

I suggest we have a race based around this, its a great car to drive and should be real good fun to Endurance Race.

Well, I can assure you that after the RM Golf race, I'll see about posting some new events. I'm not a fan of the Furai, but you could always host an event with it? 💡
 
I don't have the furai, so can't really tell how it will be to drive. But i like the concept of an one make endurance. I've had some great close races with 345 bhp and min. 1100 kg limits. I don't have a preference for a certain circuit, perhaps Fuji speedway or suzuka. I don't drive these tracks often so this will be a good way to get to know these tracks.

Or a two lap race with the fiat 500 at the new route X :D
