Apok's THEME: "Pre-2000.

Take a photo of a car built before 2000."

In the event of a tie, a 2 day poll is created.

Unrelated - I wish I knew how to direct more people to this thread (and the others, really). It says that this thread was viewed over 60 times, but only 4 votes? The fact that this is located in a relatively sleepy sub-forum doesn't help of course. I would cross-post goings on into the Model threads in the The Rumble Strip, but I don't think that would be very polite forum etiquette, or welcomed.

Maybe in a status update? I did that once to resolve what looked like a tie and it got a couple votes.

I guess it wouldnt hurt to mention this competition. Perhaps some folks dont even know about the existence of this. What also helps as i found from own experience is tagging some of the regulars or long time competitors to kickstart things again. But you can only do this once in a very long while. Hope it helps

I did tag people originally, when I re-opened the competition last September. Of course, no one can be expected to remember it continuing to exist more than 6 months later, haha. I will consider that again in a while. I'm sure there are many people that don't know about it existing, so mentioning it as a Status update when competition posted/poll posted could be good. I'll give that a try today, I think. Thanks for the thoughtful response.

Perhaps its a option to combine all photo comps or perhaps combine all competitions in regards to non racing?

the general idea is good perhaps but it's not as easy as it seems.

A photo competitions sub-forum would be useful for keeping the Art & Photography section of GTP organized too. But that might push the competitions even further into obscurity.
