THEME: Their words: "Open.

I reckon it's only right that the centenary competition is an Open Theme, and not just because I can't think of anything else."

We need some special balloons or something to make this special. :P

Anyway, once the ballooon issue is sorted I'll definitely make sure I have entry for this, I'll also update the Archive thread soon. 👍

Sadly none of the flying cars from Airstage (by Gear Factor) were available. My apologies.

I wish this was more special, I was tempted to decorate it with balloons to match these weeks theme. Oh well.

As others have said, I hope this competition runs for many, many more weeks! 👍

That's a beautiful shot Cano, could you tell me more about it?

about the shot, or about the car?

eh, hell:

shot: F6.3 @ 1/640, 150 mm with my 75-300 in a tripod, as I don't trust my HORRIBLE pulse in such long distances, even at 1/640. Also shot with a remote. The front of the car is lightened because my dad was standing there with one of these:

bake-cookies-car-1.2-800X800.jpg

providing much needed light. It works amazingly well.

The car: 1979 VW Caribe/Golf MKI with a swapped 2-liter with a T3-T4 turbo and HKS waste, among other stuff, put down 402 hp at the wheels in the dyno trough a GTI 5 speed, and has run a best of 11.7 secs at over 2 kilometers above sea level, on slicks of course. Full rollcage, no stereo, completely custom wheels, meainng they were made for this car, some strange german tires, stock Recaros :dopey:

I'll post the photoshoot soon, it was pretty cool because the place was awesome.

Haven't entered in a while but I can't pass up getting in on the anniversary party!

I need one of those!! I was wondering how you did it, becaus I'm trying hard with my SB600 but I see theres a better way 👍 Thanks!

The car is amazing too! You don't see those often..

Yup. In fact, I just realized, if youlook right where the shadow ends at far left in the picture, you can see a tiny bit of the windshield reflector. And keep on trying with those strobes, they can provide awesome results. If I had some I wouldn't be dealin with windscreen covers.

And, well, you actually see these quite often, but not in 400hp, 11-sec trim.
