Am I the only one having trouble getting gold here?

I've tried with a nascar and with a RM Z06...the Z06 actually kept the lead until the last lap when it had to overtake the last place corvette..Bob slows down incredibly and lets the two GT-40's in second and third place overtake me..

this has happened twice already...

anyone have any tips or ideas for a good car to beat this race with?

:nervous:

i used the 2j but my b-spec dude was level 32 with his speed bar almost maxed out when i raced it.

thanks,

Bob is at level 23...I'm trying to build him up to at least level 24...

Does anyone know of any other cars that could be used?

The Z06 should be enough and then some, did you pace him up when the lead started to shrink? The Cadillac Cien kills both those races too, just gear it up correctly and use the right tires and he should sail through the both of them.

There are lots of cars you can use but if you want to make it easy then the Ford GT is the car to have. Either the Spec II LM Race Car which you win in the A-Spec Dream Car race or even better the Spec II Test Car which you can buy from your Gran Turismo dealer. Both of these cars get around the track with no effort at all at full speed and will smoke the AI even with Bob at the wheel it is no contest if you add the engine mods.

The test car is the faster of the two and can easily turn faster laps than any other car that I have tried so far in that race and I have tried pretty much all of them that could stand a chance.

btw my level 16 Bob usually wins by 3-4 seconds in the Ford GT Race car without me giving him any instructions.

You should also notice that it is always a Ford GT that the AI has in front at the end of the race often there will be 2 or 3 of them in front of all the other cars.

That's the one I used. I love it, easy wins on both tracks. My b-spec guy is 25.

Bobs tears it up with the Ford GT like its nobodys business.
The ZR1RM is a much faster car, but bob sucks with it.

get the panzo esperante GTR-1 it has the most hp (721hp) of all the cars that can enter the event and tune it up all the way ...... and ..... after that you will notice that the more horse power any car has the faster it will go thus resulting in lower lap times

My level 21 Bob couldn't manage it in the RM Z06 either.I tried him in the Ford GTSpec II LM Race car, and left to his own devices he managed second. Tried him again with a little bit of coaching and he got the win.

Tried in the Z06 and he got nowhere, currently in the Cien and he's back in 8th. He just keeps braking for the corners, no use at all that.

Breezed it in the Ford GT though, with instruction from me though cause he kept slowing and at one point (because I wasn't paying attention) he dropped back to 2nd.

i have tried the zr1 with no luck. i actually had a question. i fully upgraded that car, and got all the aero parts and wasnt aware that the car could be RM'd. now should i still RM it even though i bought all the parts already?
i can manage second place withe the nascar but BOB keeps breaking on the turns when he doesnt need to. any suggestions on ways to adjust this?

Try putting the brake balance at 0/0. That's what I'm currently doing grinding Indy and the Bobs are much faster in the corners, especially turn 2.

so i got first on leguna seca but the indy is killin me still... bob is now at class 23 and i have tried my vette zr1 fully loaded (not RM though) .. no luck, FGT didnt come close, and the cien is fast but bob brakes too much. also the closest i got was with the nascar coming second and that was fluke as i cant get better than 6th now with it.
what settings did you use with the cien? i feel my problem is my suspension is not set correct, the dampers and anti-roll bars etc. any advice would be great thanks
never mind i came first.. i guess my bob gained experience as he lost even :)

with my tuned up Zr1 even one of my 0 level bobs will never fail to win this race, tune it up to the racing mod, keep changing the oil, you'll have no problem

You need to RM it. But doing this after you've tuned the car will uninstall some parts.

You'll have to go back into your tune settings to make sure the best parts are installed. Finally, with an oil change, your ZR1 outputs 905hp.

Also check your tires.

For indy- May be unnecessary but I maxed out downforce on F/R. Brake bal to 0/0.

Can this be done with the Cadillac CIEN?
If so, i would like to have a good setup for it.
My Bob ends up in 6th or 7th behind the Chapparrals and Fords. He looses too much speed in the corners.
