Has anyone else noticed the arrow at the top right of the driver when selecting a driver for a race. There is an arrow that is red pointing down, green pointing to the right, or blue pointing up. I haven’t figured out the correlation with anything. I will gain experience points and win the race by miles, sometimes the arrow points down and sometimes it points up, and sometimes it points to the right. It almost seems random. Has anyone figured what the arrow represents?

Red pointing down I have not seen but I would say this is bad. Either you have overused this driver or have not used him enough. I'm not sure if the arrow refers to his mental state or his moral but red is surely bad.

On mine the drivers start at Green, then they will go either to Blue angled up or orange angled down. When a driver has been racing and turns orange aftwerwards I let him set while another driver runs a few races and he will go green again. If he has not raced for a while and turns orange while on the sideline I let him race a time or two and he will green up. When a driver is Blue then I enter him into a championship event as he is likely to be able to complete it before he drops to orange.

So my thoughts are this though I could be wrong

Green = Normal
Orange after racing = Driver needs a break
Orange after sitting a few races= Driver wants back on the track
Blue=Can't wait to get back on the track

Edit: On second thought Orange may just mean that the driver needs some time off. So far everytime I have had a driver turn orange after racing I have let him have 2-5 races off and he has greened back up again. I have also had a couple of times when a driver went from Green to Orange while setting on the bench. I assumed that meant he was bummed from not racing but when I just entered one of these cases into a race he stayed orange afterward. I'll leave him on the bench a while and see if he greens up again.

I used a driver for about 15 races, and did not notice any arrow... Then I created a second driver, and noticed that the first one had the orange down angled arrow, while the newer one had the green arrow. It reminds me Pro Evolution Soccer player's arrows haaha... However I don't know what they are, althought I think HBR-Roadhog maybe right, as it seems like a kind of "fitness".

I'm surprised its still all speculation as to what this arrow indicates. I can't figure it out, and there have been numerous threads on this subject...none with a definitive answer.

Maybe you guys should peruse the in game manual under "B SPEC". You may be surprised to learn the manual contains info on game functions.

Umm...Looked in the manual and not much info on B spec.Don't you guys think it's kinda funny PD didn't release a cool guide and all there is for a guide is a track guide(prima)

Well after much searching in the manual I figured it out. In section 5-3 My Drivers it says, "the arrow indicates weather or not the driver is in good or bad form." Don't really know what this means exactly.

i've also had a driver in my bench turn green to orange. so that must not mean fatigue, 'coz if it was, benched drivers should only get better with rest.

atm, i'm thinking it's driver morale. i just created a new bob and he started green. i then put him straight into tuned car champhionship for faster levelling. when he finished the champhionship, he turned blue. he might be pretty ecstatic with his win. LOL

From my last race, with a driver with a blue upward arrow, he seemed to gain more experience. After the race, his arrow stayed the same

While my other driver who had a green arrow, and even didn't race, turned into a brown downward arrow after the very same race....

Sorry if i'm being a total dumbarse, but surely each B-Spec Bob starts at level 0? How were you able to put him straight into the tuned car championship?

Edit: Ignore that, i guess as long as you have one driver at a certain level, you can enter others :)
Edit 2: Ok, so B-Spec level determines the actual events you're allowed to enter, regardless of driver level - got it :)

I've got the Apex ultimate car guide. It is 304 pages of shear awesomeness! So I would say epic fail by you in not getting one.

The arrow is how he is coming into the next race. If it's down he'll come into the new race with his bar moving towards the red(FAST).
If it's blue he'll be coming into the next race the bar will be stationary if he's blue by nature(since you are bottled up next to other cars and it wants to go up for that and down cause he's got ice in his veins). and if he's hot headed it'll be moving towards the red just slower than normal. The arrow only means something for the start of the next race bOb drives in.
