Woah...thought someone hacked my account or something when the widget didn't authenticate. Glad it's just a change, and fix so fast. Thanks.

Can I make one suggestion though, the "x/y driver in use", the other driver helmet icon, and the lap number besides "racing"...they are really light and I can barely see it. Maybe my eyes is bad as well.

The selection algorithm compares the various race lengths, gets a range from those lengths, and then divides the events into short, medium, and long races by itself. Since the range is 0, all races are randomly selected from.
Except now I'm getting an error, so I have to explicitly account for this case.

Thanks for the effort, but it seems that no matter what I do or which account I use, I get the login error, even with 1.1.3 on my primary PC.

I can get it to work on another PC, but that's not a permanent option for me.

Maybe I need to do the classic Tech Support fallback and reboot...

I've reloaded the widget a couple times (1.1.3), but this keeps happening:

03/09/11 23:20:58.413: RAW STATUS: Ready.
03/09/11 23:20:59.723: There's nobody to race!
03/09/11 23:21:46.853: Command hasn't gone through. Trying again...
03/09/11 23:22:34.228: Command hasn't gone through. Trying again...
03/09/11 23:23:19.015: Command hasn't gone through. Trying again...
03/09/11 23:23:43.169: There's nobody to race!
03/09/11 23:24:50.146: Command hasn't gone through. Trying again...

I have it set to "Long Events." Am I doing something wrong?

I am still not being able to connect. Gives me the same wrong credentials errors with the latest file: 1.1.3

Any idea why this could be? thanks!

Try clearing your cache in the network section in options, then try again.

You might be experiencing an uncommon bug where the Widget is selecting drivers to race with and sending all the right data to the server, but the server is not allowing you to start a race.

The cause of this issue is still very mysterious to me, but I have noticed a trend in the logs I'm getting from people who have this problem: All of their network requests are taking around 3 seconds to complete. So it may be that someone else is snatching up your driver before the Widget has a chance to book the race.

I will need to update my debugging version so I can gather more samples.

Is it possible to add and option for the widget to only select my highest skilled driver for racing on my own server? Still keeping low level drivers online for others to use.

Disregard my previous comment.

It seems that Google Chrome was getting a cached copy of the version that gave the login error.

On a hunch, I used a Incognito Window to download the latest version and that seemed to do the trick.

Thanks again! This saves me time at work!

To those who are having problems, have you cleared your network cache through the options menu?

Give that a try, it helps me.

I'm guessing I have to update GT5 and PS3 firmware for it to work?

It's not working as of right now...
Right-click the Widget and make sure you're running version 1.1.3 (version number is in About B-Spec Grinder).

"network cache through the options menu"
is this on the PS3, or browser? (am away from PS3, ATM)

gran-turismo.com won't let me pick other people's drivers, so it doesn't look like the widget's fault in anyway. (friends are balcked out, "Driver not found" warning given)

It's on the PS3, in the GT5 options menu on the main menu.

I am running v 1.1.3 and the error persists.

EDIT: It is working now.
This is FANTASTIC! Thank you!

I'm still having the same "Temporary Server Issue" error. I'll see if I can get some more debug data using some other means.

Cleared cache, downloaded 1.1.3, using Mac. Still no success.

Trying to run on son's account I might add "aceman_austin"
