Um can someone explain to me what I should do to get my friend list to refresh on the widget? I reset my PC and the widget, but no dice.

Also can someone also explain what the concurrent threads does?

X2 please, running the widget from a secondary account, i have about 6-7 friends there and only 2 are showing on the widget. Whats the deal?
 
Help. My widget is broken. My ps3 decided it no longer wanted to accept the gran turismo internet stuff (still logged on to psn). My internet does this, I just needed to restart the ps3 to get it back.

So since it couldn't connect to the granturismo server on my ps3, the ps3 just sat on the waiting screen. The widget stopped at 8/10 laps of the race. I have tried:
Closing and opening the widget.
Redownloading the widget
Reinstalling the widget
turning the ps3 off and on
turning the internet off and on, on my pc (this stoped the widget working, however when I turned the internet back on again it went back to 8/10 laps).


This is stopping me racing :( because it won't start new races while this one is still "supposedly" going on.

Any idea's how to fix.
 
My widget has not been working since yesterday. It simply displays a black box with no indications of any kind. I have deleted it and re-installed it only to have the same thing happen. I've cleared my cache on the PS3 and have deleted my cookies for iE. Is there some other cookies that need to be deleted? I've noticed that even though I deleted the widget, a "re-install" still pulls up my old account info without actually running through the installation procedure.
 
Still no luck with this. The widget opens and displays the black window with the bar, but no text. It doesn't allow me to force reconnect (not an option). It's like it can't log in. If I delete the widget and clear my cookies in explorer, then load the widget again, it still pulls up my default account info and does not run through an installation routine. Am I missing something basic here?
 
just installed this today, and has worked flawlessly so far, after about 8 hours of it running, i have 3 accounts, one bogus account which i use to race the 12 drivers from my other two accounts
 
I loaded the older "debug" version of the widget and it works fine. I reloaded the 2.5.1 version and it still doesn't work (with symptoms described above).

This is the exact message I'm getting in the debug window. It just freezes after this.

if you add another friend so that you use up the full 16 slots of racing you will earn more money ;-)
 
issue: No friends/drivers in my list so no drivers for widget to select ??? dont know how to clear down cash etc... strange as I can see friends within GT5.
 
When using Reciprocate the widget doesn't pick more than a few drivers, and it doesn't pick the ones which have used my drivers. See example below.

Any ideas? How should it work?

If I use "Use Randomly" it choses 16 drivers..

edit: Or is it so that the users who are selected "Reciprocating..." their drivers are busy but it doesn't show this in the gadget?
edit2: Just found that it had "leave at least 4 drivers free", as default in Reciprocate, might be the reason why it behaves this way, will run a new round now and see if it picks the correct drivers. :)
edit3: Yep, that was the issue, "problem" solved. :)

The widget is still picking users which haven't raced my drivers, is it because all their drivers are busy?

It works off of the log on gran-turismo.com. So if there are people who haven't raced your drivers in a long time and they're still being used, it's because they haven't been rotated out of that log.

A future update will log races in a local database (both by you and your friends), which will give better reciprocation, as well as allow me to write it so that it will maintain a count of how many more races need to be done to catch up. I'll consider adding more verbose logging around this as well.
 
I have a strange situation going on with the b-spec grinder:

1) I have literally hundreds of drivers (approximately 200) in the "MY DRIVERS" column (each of my 6 drivers has been cloned dozens of times!):crazy:

2) Also periodically my widget shows 0/6 drivers being used during a race that I am hosting (whether it be the beginning, middle, or end of a race) -- Update on this problem: Force Re-authentication took care of problem 2

ps - restarting widget has no effect and deleting and reinstalling widget has no effect on problem 1

I've seen 7 or more drivers show up in rare circumstances. You'll see the same thing if you log into gran-turismo.com. Try unsharing and resharing all your drivers from GT5.

Does this usually only select 1 driver from each user? I just started using this now so I created a dummy account, added 2 friends, one with 4 drivers, the other 6. It picked only one driver from each user so there were only 3 people racing. Is there a way of telling it to pick all the drivers? Sorry if this has been asked before but I searched this thread and couldn't find an answer to this.

You can only use 1 of your drivers, but up to 6 of each of your friends. Depending on how many drivers your friends have. Adding up to 16 total.

That's what I mean, the two friends (clients, not the one hosting the race) had 4 and 6 drivers but only one of them from each were added.

Try to manage the drivers and see if you can add more. If not maybe the rest of the drivers are being used.
 
Thanks Yonis, been along time avoider of all this stuff but this just work, and theres no point in sitting by the laptop like you need to with remote races.
 
I'm just thankful PD is letting Yonis continue with is work. Considering their recent hacks, they could've pulled the plug on this.

Thank you, Yonis. Your work has made a lot of lives easier, and my daughter and family appreciate the extra time Daddy has while "playing the game." Not that I'd choose GT5 over my family, but it is VERY nice being able to do both simultaneously.

Thanks, also, to PD and Sony for letting Yonis continue. His widget definitely adds to the game, and hopefully something like his widget will be included in GT6. Btw, PD, you should hire Yonis. Just sayin.

Strange... Today I turn on the b-spec grinder and no more duplicated drivers. So problem solved (so to speak, I still don't understand what happened). BTW, you have made a really super program that has saved countless hours of agonizing boredom. Thank you.:)

I need a help, this week, I'm only been able to have 1 bob runing, that is my host race, all others are not peek by any of the other friends races????
can you guys give me a help find the problem? both home PC and work pc have the same problem???

I already logoff and logon in both sites psn and gran-turismo.com, multi-times!!! with no sucess...

Hey yonis, after the 1.10 update, when access "manage drivers" menu, the following lines appear in debug window in red. Not a show stopper, widget still runs. Just thought to let you know..
