Batting 1.000. Wish I could say the same.

Actually, I don't really mind where my B-Spec driver finishes, just as long as he finishes the race and earns me some credits and experience, I'm cool with that. As long as I'm moving forward, the time is not wasted, in my opinion.

Bobs are now 32 / 32 /31 /31/29 /29

In a few hours that'll change again there thrashing the FGT round the Ring for another 4 hours 👍

They did the 9 hour Race in the FGT at Tsukuba and finished 125 Laps ahead of 2nd place Today

My B-spec driver always seemed to do the same thing when approaching a back marker to lap he would always slow down ridiculous amounts and end up getting rear ended my position 2 or 3 and end up spinning out.

I spammed overtake just before he hit the back marker to get round it, unattended he would spaz this up. This is pre 1.05 though.

Slowly trekking through the B-Spec for the Signature Edition comp, Level 13 and 0 so far.

The road is going to be very long.. lol.

How can I stop my drivers mood arrow from going orange ?

I have three drivers (all I'm allowed) and they are all orange, and whether I rest them or race them they stay orange ?

I played nothing but A-Specfor 2 days, all the Bobs are still orange ?

I raced only Number 1 driver for 2 further days, the other two didn't race at all, they are still orange ?

Any bright Ideas ?

No idea if its related or not, just a guess. But mine seem to go orange if i race the same race more than once.

Maybe its coincidence, I'm not sure.

It just means he's performing less than 100%, called form if you will. It seems to be random, just make him race anyway!

They advertised B-Spec saying that you need to watch your driver and then retire him when he's past it. I don't know about you guys but it's taken me long enough to get him to level 7, retiring wouldn't be something I would be willing to do.

Has anyone retired theirs yet?

Just put my B-Spec driver in a Forumal GT and entered him in the Dream Car race. He kills the competion so much that you don't need to give him any instructions. Just turn over and watch TV for a bit :)

It only takes me 1 race for a level 0 driver to get to level 8 :)
When you get to the higher level races, experience is much better

You don't even need high level drivers after a while. So in this respect B-Spec is a bit of a fail.
Needs more meat on these bones

Apologies if some of this has been addressed before but this is a pretty long thread!

I currently only have one Bob who is at level 25, his stats are good, he's always been just on the cool side of the middle

Have now unlocked endurance races so am wondering the following:

1. Can you have more than one Bob taking part in the same race, swapping in the pit, Le Mans style? I feel i should know this but not seen it mentioned anywhere

2. In the longer races, my Bob's physical and mental strength seems to completely run out, but i've really not noticed this having much of a negative effect on his driving. So why should i worry?

3. Does experience increase more if my Bob has a tough race? I suspect it does, as sometimes he's accrued a fair amount of experience for finishing in something like 6th

Thanks!

Yes, if the race allows you to pick 2 drivers. The easiest way to level up a new driver quickly is to enter them into a higher level race.

I put a new one in the Polyphonic Cup race (Expert lvl 19) on the Madrid circuit. Put him in my Zonda R as the rest of the field are all standard cards around 250bhp. He will struggle on the corners in the car so get him to decrease pace enough that he doesn't spin out and he will do the business on the straights. This course has only 3 corners and 3 long straights so is fairly easy for a new driver. Once he's in the lead and has cooled down you can leave him to it.

1st race he completed got him straight to lvl 5, next race to lvl 8, next lvl 10 and so on. After only about 20 races on the same course he was lvl 16 or so.

B Spec forces you to stop playing GT5, lol...srs. If I don't take a break between these 24 hr Le mans runs. I would never get to play anything in GT5 or on the PS3 period. It just auto plays/runs 24 hours a day every day. Which has pretty much been the last 8 days. :indiff: I'm not sure where someone at PD thought that would be a great idea, lol.

My B-spec driver is lvl 21 but no matter which car he's driving or how many times he's driven it, he repeats the same mistakes. Approaching every corner, he slams on the brakes way too early, then speeds up, then brakes again, then speeds up, all before hitting the apex. Meanwhile, he gets overtaken as the other drivers know how to approach corners and brake after he does. I don't know how to get him to stop doing this. Any suggestions?

Long.. I think about 30-45 minutes average for 1 driver.

1 eye on my pc screen while chatting/surfing etc. and the other eye on the PS3 screen looking out for names while I click and click and click :)

I have S.Loeb and could have had B.Schneider, but clicked too fast :(

I wanted S. Loeb or S. Vettel as my 6th and last driver. Accidently I clicked T. Makinen away, would be fine too for me.

huh? i thought you couldn't choose names :grumpy: mine are all random retarded names.

You can't, you just have to click a lot to find real names. During my search for my last driver I came across T. Sato, J. Montoya, R. Schumacher, A. Davidson, J. Johnsson and some more, but I wanted a driver who has won DWC's :)

Sorry if this has been covered but this is a long thread and not gonna start a new one just for this: What is the best B-Spec grind, as in best XP for time spent? Needs to be events that require no babysitting during the race. I'm at level 28 B-Spec, and I want to get to 30 to unlock the Sebastian Vettel Challenge, as apparently just by bronzing those races my A-Spec XP will ramp up big time.

To be fair, you are insulting those legends' names by making them b-spec drivers. If any of those guys drove at the beginning of their careers the way Bob does they would never have made it past the first rung of the ladder, never mind Formula Ford, WRC, F1 or anything else for that matter.

"Back to Karting, Fernando, you idiot...."

Thanks, looking like the Indy 500 for now, was wondering if any of the championships give decent XP too though, I guess I should try myself. Must admit i've not been paying a lot of attention, I just look at the bar go up at the end of the race, also it sometimes seems to go up from the start of the bar, if that makes sense, which confuses me, as looks like i've gained more than I really have.

Am I right in saying:
- characteristically COOL drivers are bad at overtaking but can hold a steady pace
- characteristically HOT drivers are good at overtaking but slow down too easily

Is there a guide to how B-Spec works 'characteristics' with 'in-race' temperament?
