B-Spec level 40 without endurance? Is it possible to achieve?

Just wondering, does Grinding high XP gain Extreme events allow a B-Spec to reach level 40 without racing Endurance Events? It's quite hot in my room most of the time so I'm searching for an alternative since GT5's servers've been down for a long time.

Edit: Not sure but I think I've seen levelling to 40 freezes the career bar or maybe it was the opposite, couldn't remember less. I would love to try out that theory without doing endurance racing, 'cause, once again, my room is very hot sometimes.
