Success! Hard Milestone: 7750.

I've been experimenting with the restart lineups of Championship races as a method of collecting track points. It's a bit of a struggle as I can usually only get a few new tracks during each series. However, this particular set of Championship series was selected because they tend to by highly profitable. Also, I'm learning a lot about the B-spec potential of a variety of vehicles and series. I might have to take another stab at a 10,000 Credit training plan.

Pan Euro Championship
Jaguar XJ220 LM Race Car '01, 318,749
5 races * 12,000 + 45,000
Reused the SL 65 AMG, added a Turbo 4
+3 New Tracks = 3 Tracks

Stars of Pleiades
Subaru IMPREZA Super Touring Car '01, 95,624
5 races * 10,000 + 75,000
Ran it twice, once as class B and again as class C
New Subaru IMPREZA Sedan WRX STi '02, Turbo Org
+6 New Tracks = 9 Tracks

NR-A RX-8 Cup
Mazda RX-8 Concept LM Race Car '01, 116,874
5 races * 2,000 + 15,000
New Mazda RX-8 Type S (J) '03 at 327HP and 346HP - still a mid B-2 car
+3 New Tracks = 12 Tracks

World Compact Race Race
Honda S800 RSC Race Car '68, 53,124
5 races * 7,500 + 37,500
Ran it twice, Class A and Class B
New Opel Speedster; oil only = A-2, anything more = class B
+8 New Tracks = 20 Tracks

Japanese Compact Cup
Honda LIFE STEP VAN '72, 1,869
5 races * 2,000 + 15,000
New Mazda MX-5 Miata 1800 RS (J) '04, +S3 and Racing Exhaust
+3 New Tracks = 23 Tracks

British GT Series
Jaguar E-Type Coupe '61, 10,822
5 races * 12,000 + 45,000
New TVR Tusan Speed 6 '00, +S3 and NA2
+3 New Tracks = 26 Tracks

Euro Hot Hatch League
Volvo 240 GLT Estate '88, 3,382
5 races * 12,000 + 45,000
New Seat Ibiza Cupra '04 - still mid B-2 after major upgrades
+3 New Tracks = 29 Tracks confirmed at 7750

Game Completion is still only 11.2%.

My plan to always use the Restart Lineup is in trouble due to the Panoz Esperante at the All American Championship.

Has anyone been able to confirm the La Festa Italiano Restart Lineup Progression posted a short while ago?

So, um... EA11R? Everything going okay? You were so close when that strange time showed up.

I've added a bunch of championship collections to the end of the 10000 credit training guide. I'm not expecting people to follow the plan beyond the floating point collection. However, the sequence of the tracks make that the only place that this particular collection plan would apply directly, and I want to keep a record of the settings and vehicles for future reference.

I've just finished your first plan benchmark, and, although the few times near the end I bothered to check were erratic, the money and B-spec points were all correct, and all is well now in the end.

Just write something in to the effect of, "The times listed here and the times you will get may not be identical, but do not fear; the B-Spec points will be the same as the guide, and that's really all that matters. Trust that you won't mess this up, having gotten this far, and trust that I haven't messed this up, having gotten this far."

One thing: for the final collection, you told us to use Racing Tires Soft (R3). You should edit that for clarity, since soft racing tires are R4s, and R3s are normal racing tires.

Either way, thank you very much for compiling such an accurate guide, and thank you for accepting my criticism as gracefully as you have.

Also, what would I do if I hoped to finish up my B-Spec portfolio? I presume your guide ends at a difficult wall, but I've no idea what, exactly, it is. I'm very grateful that you've given us a guide that helped me get this far, and now I'd quite like to finish, but I'm not sure how.

The process for continuing it fairly straight forward. It just takes a very long time. The Japanese Author has provided a nice point progression template. You can fill in the blanks with the Track List I compiled a while ago, or use another list with more accurate track names. Progress from one hard milestone to the next. If you don't get the +14 milestone score then repeat the current set of 29 tracks until the missing point shows up.

B-spec 10000 Template
58 B-spec Tracks

The Japanese Method is to collect all the Floating Points from Nurburgring to reach the soft milestone of 7051, then race family cups to reach the hard milestones. You can skip the Nurburgring part since that's what the training plan was all about (except you'll need to hit up the Ring for A and B track points). Fill in the blanks on the template with the completed track list provided at the end of the guide, then go to work at the Family Cup races. You can use the cars suggested by the Japanese Author, use the cars from the Training Guide, or buy your own cars if you can make a reasonable guess to the class it is in. The Championship supplement can also be a good source of vehicles with identified classes. One point to remember is that there are no more subclasses. You can you either an A-1 or A-2 car to collect the same A Class points. This process if fairly well documented in the main B-spec thread. I'm not sure there's anything new to add.

You don't need to do Family Cups, you could race the same track in one of the various events. However, Family Cups allow you to adjust the difficulty so you can almost always get an easy win. -2 or -1 usually works fairly well, or -6 on the short tracks. The main problem with the family cups is that many of the tracks won't unlock for a while.

Milestone: 8125

I finally managed to script a race with what I think is a smaller MOV than the 0.004 of the Crossfire series. However, the game doesn't appear to score it properly. 4 attempts yielded these MOVs for a 1 Lap race on Suzuka Circuit. The race time was always 2'41.764.

+1192:56'27.374
+1LAP
+2LAPS
+2LAPS

Fortunately, this was a zero point race so anyone with a fully qualified B-spec driver should be able to repeat the results. Unfortunately, it's the 4th race in a championship series and the proper lineup doesn't spawn unless you progress through the series. Skipping the 1st 3 races of a series with the restart lineup should work.

The race is at the Lupo Cup using the VW Lupo Cup Car '00 - oiled. Add NA1 and R5 Tires for the race, but you don't really need to save the expense of the R5 tires. Restart lineup is Year '03, '00, '03, '00, '03, '00. The championship lineup needed for this race is Year '00, '00, '03, '03, '03, '00.

VW Lupo Cup Car '00 - oiled, NA1, R5 Tires - CORE
Modifier is Ballast Weight - always centered.
*I'm collecting track points on Nurburgring and Infineon; your times may vary.

- Lupo Cup (class B)
Fuji Speedway 90's, Weight 93 0, Cruise, 0.491, 4'00.524
*Nurburgring Nordschleife, Weight 53 0, Cruise, 0.977, 9'01.687
Tsukuba Circuit, Weight 69 0, Fast, 0.049, 3'24.616
Suzuka Circuit, Weight 53 0, Cruise, +1192:56'27.374 or +1LAP or +2LAPS, 2'41.764
*Infineon Raceway - Sports Car Course, Weight 87 0, Fast, 1.162 4'00.391

Anyway, it was nice to finally win the battle between the the chicane and the finish line on Suzuka. The HKS Genki Hyper Silvia R32 (D1GP) '04 finally gave me a come from behind win on El Capitan Reverse (0.059).

Added: I re-ran the Lupo races and sure enough, the B-spec driver is a lot hotter with all the track points from Nurburgring and Infineon. It's almost the same race on Infineon, but he passes before the last turn instead of after. He's a lot faster on the Ring since he isn't bogged down by the early traffic as much so he takes the lead after 1/2 a lap.

BTW, I'm convinced that the Lupo Cup racers are not taking tire wear on their R5 tires for the duration of Nurburgring. Listening from their perspective has none of the tire screeching apparent for my driver. When the end of the race is really close it's pretty apparent the 3rd place car can't figure out why my driver is slowing down so much of the last turn before the straight and practically rams him off the road. Damn cheaters.

I've decided that 100/73/73 is more than enough for what I want to do in B-Spec (hardly anything, actually...). I've sold all my B-Spec cars that you've scripted for me, run off to the licensing centres, and painstakingly worked at getting the 64 golds I now have (just the S license to go!). It also helps that I now have nearly $3,000,000 dollars in-game, and am basically starting from scratch. So, I thank you for compiling such a useful guide, and picking a reasonable milestone to stop the second edition of it at; it seems that any further progress (past this milestone) is much, much slower (in-game). Your guide has been very helpful to me, and almost helps me forget that deleting my old profile was a tragic accident. I have, indeed, wached my hands of the affair here, but I by no means discourage it.

For what it's worth... + Rep. You are a gentleman and a scholar.
