Asane
I noticed I've been posting a lot of photos here recently so I guess I'll start my own thread for the photos I take.

Here's just a few that you guys haven't seen yet.

I'll start off the thread with my girlfriend's fat, evil cat.

Holy right angle Batman! Some of the shots have some really extreme angles.

I’m really digging the warm tones of all the shots and the shots with your cousins are great candid shots 👍 I quite like this one for some reason as well.

lol I'll try not to get too angular next time.

is such a sweet portrait. The colours and depth of field are amazing, and the child's face and dynamics say ALOT. It's the one I like the most. As Syntax, I'm put off by the extreme angles in some of these, but I find the last picture you posted very intresting.

I also liked the one that Syntax said, but it would have been killer if the people in the background were integrated to the picture, walking or something.

I've actually started reading up on composition more now. If anyone can lead me to some websites for composition, that would be great.

Just a quick portrait of my cousin that I did.

Took it with an EOS 7D w/ EF 70-200mm f.2.8L

It isn't really something you can learn from reading. All I would say is Rule of Thirds (you know that right?) and be very aware of your background. Keep exposing yourself to the sort of pictures you wish to take and you'll start to mimic them.

Lol yeah, nothing beats experience but it's also useful to have some knowledge on composition so you can apply it when you're taking photographs.

Hey guys, I just need constructive criticism on this B&W attempt I did. I tried to go for that oldies grainy camera look thingy... lol

Here's the first Macro shots that I've ever done. Constructive Criticism welcome... Just did it with my EF 24-105mm L since it does have some Macro capabilities.
The 5th shot is a bit blurry since it was dark and I had to lower the shutter speed. I think I was at 1/15 or 1/30..

The first one was a little lacking in sharpness and a tad uninteresting as well. I have no issue with the grain however as it can look really good in some shots. The second b&w is a about as far away from the first one as you can get. It's a really awesome shot. It has emotion. The composition is great as well. Brilliant work 👍

Good macro shots for a first attempt. But watch your backgrounds. If you're shooting flowers, make sure that your background brings out the colour of the subject, and make sure there's nothing man-made-looking in the background.

I like some of your portraiture as well. Keep up the good work!

lol For some reason though, as much as I like the second photo, I also love the first because of the unsharpness..

It's almost like softfocus and it emulated the cameras of yesteryear. lol

Cute kid. I really like the second shot. Seems like you've got the composition side of things down pat pretty well now. 👍
