Looking to try some backwards entry, what cars would be good for it? I mainly like European cars, would the BMW M3 (Premium) be good?

Also, maybe some tips on how to go about doing a backwards/reverse entry?

I searched but mainly found videos.

Thanks!

supras good for it but mainly e brake swing it round and as is starts to come bak to a normal drift angle start to regulate the throttle so you can bring it back up to drift speed. i suggest tryin it on deep forest on the first corner it seems to be the easiest place. the m3 should be alright for it jst setting it right will be wats needed

I recently setup an Evo IV for backwards entries. Put the AYC to max and the handling becomes totally unnatural allowing you to do lots of gymkhana style manouvers. That's if you're not averse to 4WD drifting.

Well I do a lot of backwards entry in my S-Type R, Jag. I find that locking up the rear wheels using the e-brake (for about 2-3 secs), countersteering to full lock and then slow getting back on the throttle works. The important thing is, you'll need to be in the right gear at the time, so you have the torque to help keep those back wheels spinning.

Other Euro's I've tried are;

BMW E60 M5
BMW E92 M3
BMW E85 Z4
Merc C63 AMG

Throttle control, and braking are key too doing a reverse entry. Before you try to reverse, try pitching the car for a nice long e-brake slide with about a 45 degree angle, then work on that.

The m3 has tons of grip, even with a drift setup. For euro id try the ctr, although ive never tried to do reverse entries ive always wanted to drift setup a maserati gt, 599 gtb, or an aston db9 but ive never found the time or funds

No skill, its technique. Quote from Kawabata's perfect drift commentary xD.

Its about, skill technique and some luck.

Maserati, BMW M3, Z4, and the DB9 from the premium are all good euro cars, quite capable of backwards entries too.

M3 and Z4M are one of the best to learn with. A higher LSD setting ( the first one of the three ) can help in the beginning so it recovers faster after you kind of feint.

I always begun with this kind of setting for LSD : 30-55/ 60 / 40 because 60 at braking stopped my cars to fast. Downforce 5. When time passed by I tottaly changed my specs and I will share everything later.

Any of the RWD ones should do fine in my opinion. Out of all the Euros, the TVR Tuscan RM was happily backwards a few times last night.

Yes all street cars tuned for drift can, but he wants one where its easier with. If you compare a M3 with a RUF BTR there is a difference thats as long as the mount everest.

When I do reverse entrys I hold the ebrake an swing my car to the angle desired. I let the car slide while counter steering until the entry of the turn (no gas while sliding). THEN I press the ebrake an gas at the same time so my rpms free rev to redline an drift the corner.
