Bad Physics In GT6? Can't Do Spinning Burnout In GT6 Demo

Can't almost any car do a spinning burnout? I was trying to do it in the GT6 Academy Demo with the Nissan 370z and I was unable to. I wasn't using the hand break though, what is the button for the hand break? If there is one. I know the developers have said they re-did the Physics engine but the fact that you can't do a spinning burnout really makes me question how realistic this game would be. Doing a spinning burnout may be irrelevant when you are racing but the fact that you can't do one anyway bothers me.

I believe you're referring to a "donut". You can definitely do them. Make sure you have the traction control turned off. You can also map your buttons in the menu and make the e-brake any button you want.

Hope this helps 👍

Be nice guys.
He's new, and maybe he didn't know about the TCS settings. Give him a break.
Our community here needs to stop being so snarky with responses.

Donuts (Or 'spinning burnouts' as you're referring to them) are perfectly possible within GT6, it is possible you have some drivers aids on preventing your car from losing traction but it's certainly not a fault with the physics model.

It's weird, when I downloaded it, the handbrake was disabled, I had to go into the controls and assign it to the circle button.

Perhaps a lame attempt to keep people from setting fast lap times by using the E-brake to get the car to rotate around tighter corners.
