Mr. Apex
maybe try it with the RUF BTR '86 (full weight reduction, full power upgrades). on other cars the change wasn't clearly visible to me at first... with this one it is very apparent. i would be interested in your opinion after trying this out.

and... if anyone can prove i'm wrong, please let me know. :odd:

i'm still a bit unsure about this......
i haven't tried it on an MR yet, as you have, but gave it a go on some FR's that I'm more familiar with.
it's odd...I think I feel a difference, but it may just be because I'm expecting one and want to feel one...

i'll have a go at it on a stock NSX later today (I never drive them) and see if I notice anything.

I don't use it... but I have tried I just didn't want to mess my car up.... I might try it later though I kinda agree with Tankspanker in that why would you reduce the weight when your just gonna add it back on... meh.. whatever! :D

The achievable result with an FR car might be limited. If you would, for instance, move the battery all the way back to the rear bumper (IRL), the effect would still be minimal due to the bigger mass moment of inertia (of an FR car compared to a mid- or rear-engine car).

Matter of fact, both the RUF BTR and the NSX Type-S are also relatively light cars, which makes the effect on the Front-Rear Balance even more measurable.

Try shifting weight without adding ballast, then.

I have played around a litle with the ballast and found iy quite handy in low power cars increasing the wait at the front of low powered car say a trueno makes it easy to break back wheels free.

I think this works only for a slow-corner-entry power-over drift style... as soon as you'll want to carry some serious speed into the corner you might be tortured with undesirable understeer (of course this also depends on your other settings).
