I totally forgot about the Maser. I'll build it quick tonight and check it just to make sure it's close to similar.

EDIT: While it gets to 865, I don't think the Maser is particularly competitive. It's phenomenally fast on the straights, but it just doesn't have the braking or cornering that the proper GTs have. Only managed a 2:13.259 at Yas in it and it was ~8mph up on even the Bentley on the first straight.
I'd say someone is welcome to try it, and at Monza or Daytona it might work, but I suspect you'd be in for a struggle.
Interesting. It wouldn't make much of a car for one lap pace, but could be a great race car in the right hands.

I'll leave it up to everyone else if they want to allow it. I'm happy to have it on the list, but I could understand if people didn't think it was suitable. :)

I've just added Clyde's suggestions into to yours. I'll just get the tracks and stick in a new poll tonight or tomorrow.

I'll go through and post up all my builds tonight so everyone can try them out.
Sounds good :) I hope they all have Race Brakes since a couple of the cars have them as stock. ;)

I've got some bad news. I've been living in a rental house for the last 8 or 9 years, and the owner just let me know I have to be out by May 1st. I've got so much stuff to move and so many things to do to get this done, so I won't be available for racing until at least May.

Hm, I'd maybe swap Daytona for Road America and run the full 24h layout instead of just the Nordschleife; other than that, it seems like a really good calendar. Maybe we could make that last race a bit longer?

Mass-Effect inspired jokes aside, anyone in favor of delaying the beginning of the next series until Pop can join us? We could do something else in the meanwhile, like testing, or spec racing.
My only qualm would be that there is a chance for all of us to not be available from time to time.
That said, if the majority are in favor of running a short spec series while we test builds, test time slots and organize the GT series, I'd be glad to do that.

One last thing: how should we decide whether or not race in the rain for the circuits that have the option available? I was thinking that we could have a random draw based on the weather forecast data for the interested tracks. That would keep things interesting.
Live weather...cool! I think that would be a pretty good way of deciding it unless people would prefer to know in advance for practice purposes.

I'm going to go and do Easter things for while now. :)

Tonight, several days later...same difference. Sorry guys, I've said it so much it's getting old but I'm insane-level busy with work right now so it's tough to remember to do this stuff! Sorry!

Edit: should note, the M3 & RSR end up at 864. All other cars should be 865 if built properly.
I might have missed some upgrades so if you build to this and don't end up at that PI let me know and I'll look into it!

Thanks for this! I've finally gotten the chance to sample them all (at Hockenheim, since it favours handling slightly). Rather then post up my times, I'm going to post up the combined times (your laps at Yas Marina) so to try and remove driving style as a factor.

The reason there are 3 'divisions' (per se) is because of a larger then normal gap. The Huracan and R8 would be 2-3 tenths quicker per lap (half the gap shown) on each track and the Maserati would be half a second slower.
Nothing can be done about the Maserati, it just has to be noted it isn't as quick over a lap. As for the Audi and Huracan...maybe one size less tires or the could be left as is but not allowed to be used by the quickest drivers?

As for the rest. On average, they are all within half a second per lap. With the success penalties (5-10% power and/or grip) there shouldn't be any distinct advantage from one car to another. :)

One other note, the extra cars run on the same No Restrictor Plate, Race Brakes, Full Width tires system that you used for most cars. I also found the Dodge Viper to be 2 tenths faster using that system rather then the way you did it (Remove Restrictors and add heavier rims). Seemed to be a bit better balanced too, even though its only at R861.

I like the M235i Cup and the HQ series.
I'll get onto making a build for BMW. You said you had a HQ build somewhere (iirc)?

With the FXX K now in the game, should we consider the possibility of a spec series in the future? It'd surely beat having a 488 Challenge, imho. :lol:
I'd love the idea of an FXXK Challenge series. Might come a little bit later though.

The results from the Poll:

- The GT Series will be 8 rounds held over 8 weeks. 4 races on the Euro time slot and 4 on the US time slot.

- Each round will feature one 40 minute race. There will be NO pit stops in any of the races. Since there will be no pit stops, damage will be turned off (collisions stay on).

- There will be a 9th week of racing which will comprise of a single-extended duration race, running at a compromised time slot.

I'd love for a GT Series to happen. I'd also Team up with someone in the Corvette or the Ferrari.
Might be worth looking into whether people still want to run in that. The Touring Cars don't seem to be generating any interest.

I don't what happened to the series @Chevy Fan was organising but that looks to not be running anymore. So it wouldn't conflict with anything else here to run a GT Series.

Yeah that was me. I tried to gain interest for that Series. I'd love for that Series to kick off. I need to find a good Forum and people willing to help out. I think that Series could be a great success. Would you be interested in helping me run it?
