@McClarenDesign Good to see you got the emulator up and running. I recorded a few more videos myself but most of them have glitched, I don't know if it's Windows or ShadowPlay being a pain in the butt.
When you have PCSX2 open (you can do any of this while running a game), click on
Config on the top toolbar. Scroll down to
Video (GS) and then
pluggin settings
Here are my settings in the window that appears:
Adapter - (Name of your graphics card)
Renderer - Change to
Direct3D11 (hardware)
Interlacing (F5) - Change to
Auto
Original PS2 Resolution - Untick the
Native tickbox
Or Use - Change to
Custom
Custom Resolution - 3840 x 2160 (I would recommend you try 1920 x 1080 before seeing if your graphics card can render higher)
Tick every single box below this point.
Click the
Settings button next to the
Enable shader boost tick box. Change these to make improvements to the image to your liking. I personally have contrast turned down very slightly, a small increase in saturation and an increase in brightness.
Configure Button (Next Hardware hacks tick box) - If you want to try injecting MSAA Aliasing into the game, click the configure button. At the top is a dropdown box that allows up to 16x MSAA. If your game is mostly running fine but drops a few frames/stutters a little, change
Skipdraw to 1 or 2. Any higher causes some effects, models or textures to be dropped when the GPU is under stress.
Anisotropic Filtering - Change to
16x
Extra Rendering Threads -
6 (If you have an 8 core or hyperthreaded quadcore CPU) or
2 (if you have a non-hyperthread quadcore or hypertheaded dualcore CPU).
There are many, many more options inside the emulator but you shouldn't need to change anything. Let me know how it works out. When in game, go the GT4's options menu > screen > output. Change it from normal to 480p. The game seems to run at 480i on normal settings. Small change but it made a big difference for me.
Here's my one video that didn't glitch today. This time it's a tour around George V Paris.
