Theres not many motorpsorts that can match the rush of the Australian V8 Series, and with conjunction of the "Australian V8 Series" online championship, I will write up every race, qualifying session and a bit of the stuff behind the scenes including racers and directors alike.
So, enjoy!
Pre-season.
I was just a nobody, no championship entries to my name and just wasting away at my home in Brackley when suddenly I got an e-mail from a certain "Nitro". With curiosity I opened up the message and started reading:
I sat infront of the PC screen for a couple of minutes re-reading the message time and time again to make sure I was not imagining it. I then grabbed the phone and rang up my father, he was well known in the motorsport business, I explained to him the offer I recieved and he jumped at the chance to get back on the pit wall. 3 weeks later and "Davidson Racing" was born.
The pre-season press conference came up and there were many drivers I did not know, but there was one who I knew from an earlier race meet, Ash or "GT_Fan2005" as he would liked to have be known as. Anyway, the press conference went on with Nitro describing each race, the main drivers and teams. He also mentioned that he will be racing and heading his own team, which came as a surprise to me. The director of a series, particitating, couldn't think of that ever happening before. After the press conference, Ash came up to me and gave me an offer of being his team mate at the "GBR Superteam", obviously unsure I told him I'll give it some time to think over and get back to him.
Back in England I was testing the Holden around Silverstone for the first time, and I came to the conclusion that this will be a tough series on the body, the V8 kept on ringing in my ears as 722BHP pumped through the rear wheels, I couldn't hardly hear my dad as he fed in split times but I continued to try and get used to the car, aswell as putting the offer of Ash's to the back of my head. After that session I went over to the pit wall and asked if I could have a minute to explain the offer I recieved. In the end it was agreed that I would join Ash's team, but only if my father could still be my manager which Ash agreed with the next day.
So now I was in an unknown team, with a car as loud as a jet plane on in-experienced tracks.
This couldn't pull off, could it?
Part 2 should be out either wednesday or thursday.
So, enjoy!

To Lee:
Topic: Australian V8 Championship.
Hello Lee!
I've heard your looking for a drive next year well, here it is, all you have to do is come up with your own team in time for the first race at Adelade on the 2nd of November 2005. You have a choice of two cars, the Holden Commodore SS or the Ford FPV GT, both are simerley powered cars, the choice is yours.
Good luck whatever desicion you make according to the cars and the offer.
