Ok, why is this car so OP? It destroys pretty much anything else, this along with the 911 are the only two cars worth driving... in sport mode that is.

I just destroyed the field on Dragons trail using it... I hit the barrier on the fast chicane three times trying to beat my fastest lap... I was knocked out at the first turn (standard)... dropped to 7th and was in the lead again by the end of lap 2. It's ridiculously OP! Not really complaining because the poles and wins are very welcome, but wow! What a car! mine is painted just like Herbie too... It really is a magic car LOL

Look at the ratings. It has best in class brakin and cornering. The two most important things on a race car. Dragon is a momentum course and has plenty of straights before hard turns. Making it easy to abuse this cars braking and cornering stats.

Other cars are faster but harder to control. The Beetle is more accessible and has a great (because low) tire wear. Last week, top times at Dragon Trail were set by FT-1s - in Europe. Around different tracks, other cars are better. Around Lake Maggiore, for example, the BMW seems to be the best option if there's no tire wear. With tire wear, the porsche seems on pair with the beetle.
