This machine is just so bizarre there's no way I won't have a crack at it.

I need this.
Yep, I follow your argument, Alfa was removed, this one not, plus it's not sketches only (just like the Alfa). That's the post I was talking about on page 2 of this thread. The idea that "we will probably never see this Vision GT"... It just doesn't sound right, for sketches that were created this year, for a car that has not yet been removed from the VGT section on GT's official webpage. It just doesn't add up, you know?
I for one think the variety of the machines themselves is a good point of the VGT project.Yep, I follow your argument, Alfa was removed, this one not, plus it's not sketches only (just like the Alfa).
We really need something like this, not boring concepts like...the Mini...

I appreciate all of the VGTs and yes, you get more variety and that's good, but some are MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH better than others.Yes, not to mention that we never saw the Alfa's complete design, after they removed their name from the VGT project. Meanwhile, we have a very clear view of what the Bertone's design is. Then there's all the facts that I've mentioned; Bertone Design, the year of the sketches, the fact that the car's original sketch was never removed from the VGT page... It's one strange story.
As for the Mini bit, it's what sparkytooth said; while concepts like the Mini aren't exactly original, it pays to have them in the game. Because from what you see here, many people dislike radical designs such as the Bertone's while enjoying more "realistic" designs such as the Mini. So, it pays to have a varied lineup of Vision GT cars.
Well, on further research, Mesos appears to be some sort of architecture group or a computer science division at University of California. Perhaps these groups had in hand in designing it?I can defintely tell that doesn't spell Urano (the name found on one of the pictures). But Mesos also doesn't have any sort of meaning... Of course, I could be wrong about that.

I think the machine is either called the Bertone Urano Vision GT, or Bertone Mesos Vision GT
But Mesos also shows up everywhere on the car.
Mesos Platform? The only explanation for that would be that Bertone Design uses the Mesos platform, and decided to promote that within the car. I don't think that such a thing would warrant the addition of "Mesos" to the car's name, though.
Mesos Platform?

An Improbability Drive. What kind of thing powers this one?
I can barely read italian, but I'm pretty sure the writing in this image refers to the car as a living creature.
It does have a bit of Sci-fi/anime (The Guyver) about it, but i think it would look terrible in AKIRA.You are right, it does look like something that would not look out of place in a sci-fi anime. I am not even kidding, this would look great in AKIRA...
That's what instantly reminded me of a 'Landyacht' in my earlier post. From what it appears the thinner part of the car is the front. This is based on what the "Full Traction" sketch illustrates. If you look at the top left drawing, you will see there is a seat with a wheel for the seating position:
