I just made the switch from ds3 to g27 not too long ago and I found the c5 corvette bog stock with oil change and ch taught me heaps about weight shifting and front end bite

I might also recommend ABS off (all aids off for that matter) for those new to drifting. Yes I know it sounds scary, but you will learn so much more about the basics of car control when there aren't a bunch of computer aids affecting the handling physics. Of course this means you'll want to adjust your brake balance, but other than that I leave my drift cars pretty much stock. Sometimes a semi-racing exhaust and a clutch and flywheel upgrade. Later you can start messing with the LSD but in a lot of the above recommended cars it isn't necessary. When in doubt the simpler the better. You can learn a lot all aids off and comfort hards.

Some of my favorites:

S13
V12 Vantage
Viper SRT10 Coupe supercharged
BTR (a little more advanced, trickier to master but a lot of fun)
C63 AMG
yeah, i could drift amazingly with DS3 but g27 noot so much

It was a pain for me on g27 so Moved down too a dfgt because the g27 is just so smooth and it feels like there's no ffb but with dfgt It feels better for me at least.

Hey guys, I need a car that will help me start drifting and learn the basics. and if there is a tutorial which can teach me how to drift and all please post the link to it and also the tune for a car for drifting. thanks.

Perhaps?

I recommend this S13 as a starter.

Also, please do make use of the search function of this site, we see this thread at least twice a week and it does get old  there is a plethora of existing knowledge, advice and opinions at your disposal.

well my first car was an RX7 (make sure to use a car that has a drivetrain that has FR) it was a perfect car to start with for me

I used a fully tuned Renault Clio (V6). Though, that was when I used my controller, as I have yet to learn it, using a wheel.

I've read stock cars are a good start for people with a wheel.

Cool choice in the Clio. I love that car. It is actually a surprisingly great drift car

My first car was the ae86 shuichi shigeno version, It was the first car I ever purchased and still have it, its just right and your gonna have a hard time to fail with it cause of the low HP, so understeering and oversteering is almost impossible. Just need a right tunning

Do you guys know any cars that I should try to drift, i mean like any car from UCD, or Dealership. I just want to try new drift cars. Thanks, sorry if this is a bad place to post...

Search button works just as well. Im also certain we do not need a new "What car is good to start drifting" thread every time someone decides to start drifting.

And that one was just on the first page. I am 100% certain there are others with more helpful answers out there...

an Hachiroku is good for drifting (ae86) OR FT-86 best in tandem and also i add HONDA NSX-r 01 or 02 so much power in sliding:tup:👍👍👍

Thanks, sorry if this is a bad place to post...
It's exactly the right place to post, which is why there is a thread here asking exactly the same question that you should have read through before posting.

Don't just blindly click the new thread button without searching and looking and reading first.

No im not i didnt start out with it i started with a 200bhp car

Then can you do me a favour?

Go ahead and look at the top of the page; there you'll find the title of this thread.

Do you see why what you just said is inappropriate?

Frankly I don't think the car you've suggested is a good drift car, period. But if that's what you want to drift so be it.
However it's an absurd thing to suggest someone drive as a first drift car.

Reading the title of the thread isn't much to ask.

Which Mazda? the Miata has been recommended a fair few times and it's a really nicely balanced car, great to sink your teeth into for the first time
