Post what you believe is the best car for certain events or just in general. Please say why you believe it is the best car in your post.
E.g - For me it is the Nissan Skyline R34 as it is my best performing car for me at the moment. I have tuned it to be at 999 in performance points and have given it the third livery.

You may also post a pic of it but it can not be any bigger then 500 pixels in any direction. You can link it to the full sized pic if you want.

For just learning tracks or mastering corners, I've found the MK.1 Golf GTI is great fun. A willing chassis and entertaining rorty engine make for some fun times.

Love the Mark 1 Golf. I call it "Pops"

It may take 4th gear to reach 60mph, and it won't go over 120, but the sound is amazing and the old bastard just tears up the corners. Simply love it...

The 2JZ-powered AE86 and the NSX V6-powered S2000 are two of my favorite track cars. The S2000 is very well balanced and the AE86 just assaults the track like nothing else. The BMW M3 E30 with the M6 V10 is also a hoot, but I have yet to try the Benz 190E (my favorite Mercedes ever made).

For learning the tracks a tri-rotor swapped RX-7 FC and a stock MK1 GTI are my favorites. GTI for the small tight stuff and the FC for the GP type cricuits.

For drifting the V10-powered Challenger R/T (old school one) is just a total blast. Nothing like a V10 muscle car going sideways!

The Escort Cosworth is probably the fastest class 'D' I've found so far (tuned to 499). It can't race in those 'modern D' races, but matched against the full lot of 'D' class cars in quick-race, it's a beast. I tuned mine for monza jr, and even set to full accel on almost every gear, it hits 135mph on both straights. 4wd makes the few corners there a breeze too.

I also really like the mk1 golf in stock form. It probably can't beat anything as it's 50 points, but 1-make quick-races are huge fun.

It wont turn or brake but its just way to fun. Buy the supra and do the engine swap for the lfa v10. Then works convert it to the sum of 1270 bhp. then watch how it gets to 200 in 5 seconds from a 2nd gear start. Its absoloutly nuts. Smashed me mates works converted veyron lol

I'm enjoying the Lamborghini Murcielago.

That sucker can stick to the road with a good suspension tune.

It's fast, but I have a lot of trouble with mine swaying on straights at higher speeds. Any tips?

I did the 1st endurance (45 minutes) and that was sort of a driving test ! I kept crashing and learning the car from lap 1 to lap 7 or 8 and after lap 10, I started to get the feel of it and that's when I started to dominate, I even lapped a couple of cars (almost half of em'). I'd say that doing that race will help you. I drive with the steering assist and the bumper cam with a DS3 (Dual Shock 3 Gamepad) and it's a lot easier than no aids and cockpit/helmet view cam.

Aston Martin V8 Vantage N400 tuned fully w/o works conversion is definitely my favourite, just such a breeze to handle and on the Mt Panorama enduro is a nice challenge

Do you have a little deadzone in your wheel set up? Allowing 1 or 2 % can take away the 'swaying down the straight' problem. It worked for me, but not with that particular car. More general advice I guess.

Set wheel at 450 rotation, 0 deadzone,wheel sensitivity like 75 , 75 speed sensitivity.

I have no problems with these settings on g27. Then take your car to tune and set steering lock to whatever feels right for track and you can take that "floaty"
out. It worked for me. Tuning does wonders for your ride.

It may not be the best, but I have discovered the coolest looking car in the game.

Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione with Works!!

Car looks amazing, and it has to be the best looking cockpit in the game. The car handles amazing but maxes out at about 150mph top speed. Just a cool all around car. I wish I knew an easy way to post pics....

I found another one i like really well.

I was doing the duel races and used the Lexus LFA.The way the gears are set up in it's stock form are pretty good and makes for some fun times going around the track.
