Boy, am I late to Deve's party, but here are my GT5 predictions.
  • GT5 will feature all 1000 plus cars with interiors. Used cars will return. The garage can be sorted with numerous options, and can hold any number of cars.
  • A couple of surprise manufacturers will be announced, and I'm thinking Maserati and Koenigsegg. Perhaps Porsche as well, though MS might have a one year contract precluding this. However, RUF will return so no biggie. More cars from Europe, America and Australia will be included.
  • All street cars will feature minor cosmetic and visual damage. Tuners and race cars will have a fuller damage implementation.
  • Bot A.I. will be improved. People will still complain. ;)
  • There will be weather but not variable. There will however be real time time transition, and both can be set according to real world track conditions. Rain and snow events will be limited to 8 car races.
  • There will be somewhere around 50 race tracks. With variations, that will approach 100 courses. The full Nurburgring Complex will be modeled. All classic GT tracks will be included. Other notable inclusions will be Spa, Hockingham and Bathurst.
  • Race Mod will return, and will include a Livery Editor. Kits, tires and parts from real world manufacturers will be buy-able at Tuner Village and dealerships. Blank race cars will be provided, or existing cars can be painted over.
  • Season and possibly Career Modes will be added to Arcade and GT Modes of play. Stat tracking will be extensive.
  • WRC and NASCAR will follow a season format. WRC will have the option to race an opponent and will feature mostly point to point races.
  • Photo Mode will be greatly improved. Movie Mode will debut, allowing you to edit replay cam positions and tracking, including chopper cam. As stated, movies can be uploaded to YouTube.
  • Online Modes will have extensive options:
[*]Open and Private Lobbies, settings for virtually everything from damage to tunes, voice chat, friends list, servers list, launch from Home, watch replays in Home, spectate, etc.
    [*]Team and League builder tools.
[*]Race Event and Season Maker tools will cover car classes, PP restrictions, HP restrictions, mod restrictions, track list, prizes, time and weather, etc. Leaderboards and extensive stat tracking. Online replays can be saved and edited in Movie Mode.
[*]GT Auctions where you can sell, trade or give cars and liveries, replays, photos, etc.
  • Music lists can be edited, and added to with your own music or replaced entirely. All music from all GT games will be included.
  • There will be a Collectors Addition, and much of the goodies will consist of online elements, including free DLC to some extent.
Poo... gotta go to work. :indiff: I guess I'll hop on tonight and see how right I was, though I expect almost all of this to be in GT5. And MORE! That's the really good part.

That's quite a list! I certainly hope you're right. Even if only half of it was in GT5, i'd be ecstatic.

• Out March 2010.
• Reverse lights.
• Dacia, Chery Automobile, Geely and Ssangyong are in.
• Mynheer and Delta in as tuners.
• DLC available once a year on the anniversary of GT5's release.
• Monster Trucks. Bigfoot FTW!
• Free-roam versions of New York, Tokyo, London and Seoul with realistic traffic.

YEAH!!! Best wish list out there!!!

- new trailer, screens and playable full game at the show floor
- demo this week on PSN, featuring 2 tracks - one road, one dirt - in Tuscany
- a dozen cars, including the 458 and SLS, as well as the WRX Subaru

- full game releases early November, will have a launch party at the Tokyo Motor Show (Oct 24 - Nov 4)
- DLC is planned, but will be free
- first car pack coming in January, coinciding with the Detroit NAIAS (January 16-24)
- second car pack coming in March, featuring cars unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show (March 4-15)

Ok, well this is what I hope will be announced at TGS'09 for Gran Turismo 5.

1) Release date - I predict a late November date to take advantage of US sales.

2) Damage to premium car models, I expect these to be racing vehicles only and focus mainly on WRC and NASCAR vehicles. I would presume that JGTC will also offer damage. These premium models will no doubt off visual and mechanical damage.

3) Dynamic weather, personally I think this has been implemented because of the latest Ferrari 458 Italia video where you see awefully dark clouds over the Nurburgring. I don't think it will be linked to real world locations.

4) Day & Night, I think we'll have day and night cycles, but only for endurance races and it will not be linked to real world locations. However, I think we will have day and night like we normally do in Gran Turismo series, I.e. Route 246?

5) Vehicles, I expect over 1000 vehicles in GT5, mostly taken from GT4. However, of these vehicles, I also expect basic updates of existing cars. I.e. facelift Focus ST?

6) Addition of new manufactuers, Mclaren for example. Lamborghini and Ferrari garages to grow massively. I expect to see in excess of 10 Ferrari's and over 10 Lamborghini's. Also, I think we'll see the introduction of some SUV's this time around. I also think we'll be suprised by and entry from Porsche.

All I am guessing for at this time is a solid release date thts the only think I am confident about .

Whats Ironic is that Sony is so bad at keeping secrets i.e. PS3 Slim and PSP Go, but they have been so tight lipped on GT5, even fan sites are still goin crazy! just found that a bit funny...

  • Release Date
  • New Manufacturers (Maserati, Porsche, KTM...)
  • More Tuners Cars (Jun, Autobacs, Top Secret...)
  • Realistic Damage

Sony haven't been tight lipped about GT5, we all know about it and have done for some time right?

GT4 had SUVs.

Not proper ones, they were tarted up concept cars. I'm talking BMW X5 M, Audi Q7 V10 TDI and Range Rover Sport Supercharged in all their greenpeace bashing glory. I'd love to see little Renault-sport Clio's and hot Fiesta ST's chasing big hearted SUV's around Seattle or something. Disn't win that one? Add a sports suspension kit, stage one muffler and pipes and a stage one turbo next time... Thats what I love about Gran Turismo! :sly:

On a side note, I hope these wonderful cars make it into GT5 following the announcement of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG and Ferrari 458 Italia.

Aston Martin V12 Vantage

I can't wait to line these up against the Nissan GT-R V-Spec, Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1, Ferrari 458 Italia, Lamborghini Gallardo and Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG.

My bet is:

- Official release date (end November / Beginning December)
- Free demo for download at PSN (mid-October)
- Mercedes-Benz SLS and Ferrari 458 Italia officially announced has 'in' the game (possibly revelation of game cover with both)
- 1000 cars, all with cockpit view
- Damage (aestethic) for the 170 'premium' cars = real race cars represented on the game (WRC, NASCAR, jgtc, d1gp, a couple of dtm, and LMS
- rain (not dynamic neither real-time), you'll choose on the beginning of the race (On, Off or Random)
- 20 new tracks added to those from GT4 (Spa, Valencia, Shanghai, Malaysia, Abu Dhabi, Estoril, Istambul, Mugello amongst them)
- A new kind-of carrer on gt mode for you to run the available series

-Release Date
-1000 cars
-Tracks, I will go out on a limb, and predict most of the tracks from GT4 will return and we will have some new ones.
-No track editor
-Revised career mode & championship modes
-Non visual damage to all vehicles
-Livery editor, but limited, maybe template driven like NFS: Shift
-Body kits, but not to all vehicles
-Custom paint colors (select from paint wheel)
-No Demo
-Ability to change dead zones & sensitivity of brake, gas & steering
-Helmet selections, like Tourist Trophy
-Top Gear Track

:)

- box cover
- release date
- list of tracks like they did for gt4 in tgs05
- no livery
- no words about tuning and car brands
- maybe i told maybe a screen or vid about weather (rain or snow)
- new advanced damage collision, not that poor that we have seen now..
- end of conference

Prediction 1:

Kaz: Due to such high expectations of our game. We've decided that we would never be able to satisfy everyone so in order to be fair to all of our fans, we've decided to work on the game for another 5 years in order to perfect it and release it on the PS4 platform with everything that every single fans have asked for. Thank you very much and please be patient.

Prediction 2:

Kaz: Due to a lot of criticism from our fans about how our game has no damage, skidmarks or working reverse taillights. We've decided that we're sick of all your whining so we're cancelling the game. We will still be working on it but only for us to play and not you. HA!

LOL 👍👍👍

Darn it, I forgot the big one:

Release date of either Oct 29 or Nov 5.

Now I just hope I can stay awake another few hours...

-> I'll be a pessimist on this one:

  • No GT5 release date, delayed indefinitely (competes w/ Duke Nukem Forever)
  • Talks more about GTPSP again (on how great it is)
  • Just a 1-2 minute GT5 trailer just like in E3 (maybe another 458 trailer)
  • No Porsche's, Maserati's, etc.
  • Translator guy shows up AGAIN in JDM MODE!!!
  • GT5P Spec IV to be announced
  • Another "maybe" answer from KY again
  • 20 tracks only on "full GT5" confirmed
  • Announcement of Tourist Trophy 2
  • Announcement of Tourist Trophy PSP
  • Submits itself to Turn 10
  • Tomatoes flying all over the place
  • Nuclear Flame Bomb in GTP threads

:indiff:

So far I don't think anyone hit the nail on the head...

I did.

I expect the rest to be confirmed over the next couple of days.
