Welcome to the BESTuners Gallery!!

Alright, now for the BESTuners gallery, we take stock cars and tune them to how we want it. Driving Aids are to the liking of the person who has posted those certain settings, but they are discouraged. The person who has posted the settings will have either racing tires, sports tires, or even N - Series tires. All of us will tune where ever we desire, but the lap times will be recorded at Deep Forest Raceway. We take what ever car that we want and tune the hell out of it. If the settings do not work for you, please PM one of the members who made settings for that car and they can what they can do. We take pictures of the car and drive it to see how they come out. Then we write little reports. Basically, this is a Mini GT4 Comparison just like Top Gear. In my opinion (PLmatt91) I would relate this more to Best Motoring. They have tuned and stock cars and drive it and make little reports about it. After we write the reports, we will have settings posted at the bottom.

BESTuners Toyota Supra RZ '97 Report:

Deep Forest Raceway Time: 1'09. 351

Exterior:
Like I said in BESTesters, the exterior was ugly. I didn't like it. Big, bulky, ugly. Then I downloaded a Best Motoring episode with the Mine's Skyline vs. the Powerhouse Amuse Supra. The Amuse Supra was a nice clean white car with 6 spoke white Volk Racing rims. The wing it had on it was big, but I understood that it helped keep the Supra on the ground with all four wheels. I tried to achieve the same look :) And I was satisfied with it. Including the wing because when I tuned it, the wing actually helped believe it or not.



Pro's on the Track:
This car is officially my favorite FR Tuner Car :D It handles so nice. Almost like a LM Race Car in GT4. It is awesome. A bit understeer, but not as much stock. If the wheels start spinning, you lose your speed, but trust me, the way this baby handles, you wouldn't care. With about 600+ Horsepower in this car and 631 Lbs. Ft. of Tq., it's a beast. I call this car the "Bottom Torque Monster" ;) I love this car now. I actually one an event in Professional Events and it won by 20 seconds!! w00t! Any ways, I love this car. It's a beast now. I topped it out at 250 MPH so far. But I am aiming for 300 eventually :D



Con's on the Track:
The only problem I face with this car is when you start to brake going fast and then turn, it loses speed gradually and fast too. I went into a corner at 100 and left at about 60 because when the tires start to slide, it grips really well. I love this car though. Again, understeer is the issue along with any other car :lol: So this car is a beast, and you can't tame wilderbeasts :)



The Conclusion:
All I have to say about this car is that it is a beast. I love Supra's now...Well, at least tuned one's :) I like how this car handles. If only I had a DFP now, I would own any one with this car racing :)

Great review, exept you could never beat my skyline with it, 900hp of 4wd power, you cant beat that.

well speed junkie, the cars are tuned to the person's liking, which means that they can have a range of tuning, not just fully tuned. For example, i left out w.r. stage 3 for my report(coming soon), cuz it would never ever happen in real life.

BESTuners Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 ’90 Report:

Deep Forest Time: 1'10.816

NOTE: The review is done in S2 tires, but the laptime will be done in R4 tires.


Exterior:
The Corvette is a cool and beautiful car…and it’s a good thing the wing doesn’t spoil it. Most wings are oversized, uglier than a troll, and this one is, but it doesn’t really spoil it. And the wing helps the car corner at faster speeds.

Back to the ‘Vette, it looks stylish, but one look at it will give you an old feeling, an outdated one. Especially since the next two generations of the Corvette have already been released. So now, I try to make an old sports car a fast sleeper car, one capable of defeating modern day untuned supercars with ease and pleasure.



The Good…:
There’s no doubt about it that a tuned ‘Vette, will rip up the track. It can corner well, especially since it has 710 horses under the hood and measly sports medium tires laying down rubber. The acceleration is good, getting the hunk of metal to 160+ on the straight at Trial Mountain and 175+ at Midfield. If you want to oversteer in a controlled way, you can. Just floor it when you’re turning out of a corner, and you got a drift that would look good in a photo frame.



…And the Bad:
Ah yes, the flaws. Everything has them, and unfortunately so does the Corvette. The acceleration is fast, but not up to par with its predecessor, the C5 Z06, as well as other fully tuned cars. The braking isn’t that good, either. It’s good enough to stop at average distances, but if you want to out-brake your opponents, forget it. It also can barely turn in while braking. Even though that can be cured, it will make the braking even less effective, thus pushing it past the point of manageable.



Final Thoughts:
It’s a good car, but an average one. There’s really nothing spectacular about it, nothing that makes your mouth drop open and say ”wow”. But if you want to do a photoshoot of it outgunning a Zonda, then you could do that, but not as swiftly as other cars.

are u serious? it was my idea to make a Best Motoring type thread like this ...i talked with EKmatt like 2nights ago cause i wanted in on the other thread and i gave them my review of the 02 NSX and they didnt like it..said it was 2 short and i was going to make this thread until you guys STOLE the Idea from me 👎

i say i should be part of this thread now.....

Man the guys doing both test and tune entry must be busy...it takes me like 3 hours to get a review done. Im content doing just the BESTesters. One thing I think might have been good was to also do the Deep Forest time on this one. Then you can see the improvment. From the same track 👍

Yeah, I know. It took me 1/2 hour to tune the car, 2-3 hours to take and photoshop the pics, and an hour to write the review. :crazy:

Acually, when I was talking with G.Boss about the first gallery, I asked if we should tune the cars in any way, he said no, then said maybe we could make a tuner section too, But it never was really discussed any more, Ekmatt brought it up again, and a new gallery was made, If you talked about it then it was just a coincidense, because this was dicussed even before bestesters was made.

Great review duck, even though I hate muscle cars.
 
Thank you Perfect Balance, but when you said that I thought of doing that, you were wrong :( G. Boss IMed me and we were talking about making this kind of thread. I just put a $1 in because my $0.02 cents weren't working. So this is the outcome.

EJ1Rider, when you said you were going to open a thread like this, you said you would tune JAPANESE CARS, there is only 1 JAPANESE CAR so far in this thread. My next settings won't be any ASIAN car dude. Please do not spam the thread any more.

BTW, who's up for an M3 next?!

I'll agree to that.

Also, what about two different tables, one for laptimes with sports tires, and the other for racing tires? I think it would be unfair to put those two types of laptimes together, unless we all convert to racing tires.

Report-
Just follow the steps below for settings, and you will be driving one of the best cars in the game. This car is just astounding, absolutely no under steer which should be expected from a 4wd car, and 600 hp, which isn’t to be expected from a 31,000 cr. Car.
The worth- this car can hold its own against any competitor, hardly any body roll and 717 lb/ft of torque. When you turn, you get no feeling of the car starting to push, and when you turn and brake, you get no feeling of the car trying to push, it just doesn’t push! Oh but that engine will push alright, 170 mph on deep forest just before the first turn, and still got to the apex with ease. Once you get to the power band, this car takes off like a rocket. The tranny is ultra smooth, as soon as you shift, the turbo pauses almost not at all. And the weight of the car really helps with the turning and braking, about 1.2 thousand kg’s feels ultra nimble when going around a tight course. Hell, it even ran a 6’44.838 at the nurb! Its like there is nothing bad to say about this car.



The worthless, ahh, but there is one overwhelming downfall to this turbo monster. it’s the turbo power band, with no stage 5 turbo available, the power band is as narrow as a capillary in a 600lb man. You better keep this car above 4500 or you wont move, really, you won’t. Going on a very small grade uphill, and with no revving, just starting from idle, it will not go uphill, it just has no low-end torque. But you will very rarely have to go below power band anyway, I don’t notice anymore because I keep it above 4500. That, however, is the only bad thing I can say about this car.



Conclusion- Get one!, just get one! I have never driven a small car this fast or this nimble, I couldn’t believe the 31,000 price tag, it came with 550 hp “stock”. Its just so easy to control, it goes where you want it without being boring. And you get surprised by the awesomeness of the car, without it ever really sneaking up on you. An all around best buy, and if this were motor trend and I could give it a “Fun to Drive award”, this would be my first pick. And the drifting, with slight adjustments and n3’s, this car drifts better than any 4wd car in the game, yes, that includes the Skylines. If you want the drift settings, pm 440cuda9sec, I’ll get them to you, and please have fun with this amazing vehicle.

I say no because it would be really freaking confusing for me or any one else who can keep times like that...So I guess no, because it would be more confusing to any one who wants to compare. So we will just compare the two times, from original to tuned.

Sweet. Can you guys do the Wedssport Celica as a drift car? I'm thinking of making one...
 
about the drifting, we dont want to tune cars for drifting here, we can do a grip photoshoot and set-up, and then i could pm you the settings for drifting.

Now thank you Raghavan, I can edit the first post to say we don't make settings for drifting. It's specifically for Grip Racing. If you want to, ask any body on this team for drift specs, or visit Sheron's Official Drift Settings Depot. You can request settings there or look through there for some one else's settings.

Very good stuff. But why is this a gallery. Its as much a gallery as my garage is a tuning workshop.
let me guess, you just kinda assume that we put no effort into our pics, we just kinda tune them, well we really do try and take good quality pics with a lot of effort. We have 15 pics new, maybe 30 new pics a day, thats definantly worthy of a gallery, there are plenty of people who dont have but 10 pics once per 3 days.
