Both of the games up for mention were both big games. Question is, which was better to you (granted you seen or viewed highlights of the games)?

One game is in a system where polls determine the two best, while the other is where fighting it out is more important than computers. One featured two storied teams, while the other had a storied team and a first-timer in the big game. One is rich in community and a down-home feel, while the other is in a bunch of worldwide and even national audience. One featured footballers who are playing like it's on the big stage, while the other played on the big stage this past Sunday. One is about Saturday football, while the other is about Sunday football. One plays for pride than money, while the other plays for pride in addition to money. But overall, these were two teams who proved to be the best in their respective fields. USoCal vs. Texas. Seattle vs. Pittsburgh. GTPlanet, which was the better game when the final whistle blew? Was the better game the show USC and Texas put on in Pasadena, CA, USA? Was the better game between Pittsburgh and Seattle in Detroit, MI, USA? Or are you unsure as to which is better? Vote now in my first poll of 2006.

All of this seasons college bowl games were better than the superbowl. In fact, it wasn't even really close. I'd say most games (college or NFL) are better than this superbowl was.

The Rose Bowl was one of the very best games of all time.

The Super Bowl was a sloppy mess.

But the real question is: How long will the Stones keep going? I mean, they can still bring it, and their 2005 tour set an all-time record and all, but geez, man, Charlie is what now, 67 or something? Come on...

Nah, I don't care too much for rock music, so I'm not going to critique on that too much. What is usually marketed is just the fact that the love of the game is more important than money or excessive marketing. I know the NCAA's system of determining who plays for the National Championship in 1-A football can be completely flawed, but many will agree that USC vs. Texas was a great matchup. If I wanted to, I could have included the 2006 Rose Bowl, but I wanted to talk about two teams from two different levels of football looking to acheive the respective big prize. Many college players aspire the game Ben Roethlisberger and his boys experienced this past Sunday. But then, playing for the title in college is still sweet. As I say, the best years of your football life are in college. I say this because to me, you can talk about the Black Hole with the Oakland Raiders. You can talk about people filling Lambeau Field to root on their Packers. But sometimes, college games seem to surpass the pro experience. Think about this. When you go to or play at Neyland Stadium for the Tennessee Volunteers, the fans are crazy and really love their sport. There are no professional egos- it's a down-home, frenzied bunch of people who look forward to that Saturday game people will want to get ready to be excited about. Sometimes in the NFL, even the best of fans just make some games seem like the fans don't really care. This is why I love the college experience. In college football, you can be part of a whole bunch of fans who love the game the football without having to worry about things like franchise players, egotistical players, salary caps, signing bonuses, and all that. It's all about the game.

Then too, this past season's Rose Bowl game was simply amazing. While I am a big Ben Roethlisberger fan, I thought USC and Texas played one hell of a game. Texas had several signature wins, especially Texas/Ohio State. Think about it. Going into Columbus and shutting up the Buckeye fans (all 100K+ of them!) is not easy to do. Then too, the Rose Bowl was simply a classic game. It was probably so classical that they should air that game at least once every week for one month. Relive everything.

Okay, more exciting game: 2006 Rose Bowl, or 2006 Super Bowl? Carry on with your comments.
