Ooh, get you. Here it's pissing down. Nothing so festive as snow...

We've been getting a very Seattle-ish winter till just recent. And Seattle winters sound much like UK winters - cold and wet with minimal snow, if any.

Meanwhile, I grew up with a backyard that wouldn't look out of place in The Lion, the Witch, and The Wardrobe this time of year. Probably why I'm kind of partial to snow, but living in a city now I can see the how much of the charm is lost between the dirt and grime is kind of generates.

Solar - please hold on - I'm coming, I'm coming.

There'll be lights, soon. Just have to unload.

Edit: Okay I'm back . . . sorry I have a habit of not being logged on to more than two sites at a time; though GTP is, of course, one of my very favourite ones right now. Anyhow - my apologies to the rest of the gang that initiated this contest - I have missed two sessions now due to being an over-zealous parent/boss/slave.

Here's the only one I managed to grab - on the run. Doubt it'll get a win but may be enjoyed in the spirit of the game all the same ;) .

You've got plenty of time Photon, dont worry about rushing, I've postponed the deadline by one week (26th December) due to a lack of entries 👍.

Oh! Ah! What happened there?

Heehee . . . I sneaked in before you said that, Solar. I think. Einstein . . . you and your bloody Spacetime. I sliced it before and after.

Hmmm. Looks like Christmas Wars in here of a sudden.

Blitz - no offence - but your picture, while scintillating as a photograph, doesn't have enough Christmassiness to win. I mean . . the regular stuff of Christmas. Beautiful shot, though. Tip? Have fun taking another one. Coloured lights?

Up to you, though. 👍

Now . . . why am I telling you this when it's actually a contest between us?

I might change my shot. Took some others yesterday.

Maybe I'm just greedy to see what else you'll come up with?

^ Yeah I thought it might be stretching the theme a bit. But at the moment they have these light sculptures setup everywhere in the city in Amsterdam for the Christmas season. So there was plenty of "normal" christmas lights around to shoot, but I thought this looked way cooler. I agree with you though it's not really Christmasy shot, I'll see if I can find something more in line with the theme before the deadline. :)

We had so many parols back in the Philippines! Since I'm on vacation in Hong Kong, I can't find a single Christmas light! :grumpy:

Blitz it's x-mas not eastern  tro:lol:

Nice picture though 👍
