I understand that this would not be possible for online races but in offline races I think it could be. I find it unrealistic that in races you can have a max of only 16 cars in GT5. It is really upsetting in endurance races where there is basically no competition due to there only being 12-16 cars. I think that in GT6, field size should be increased based on a tracks maximum car capacity. This would offer a wide variety of cars to be able to participate and would create realistic sized grids for races. For example, the 24 hours of Le mans has over 60 cars, the 24 hours of Daytona also have over 60 cars, the 24 hours of Nurburgring has over 100 cars in the race. This would add to the challenge of an endurance race. Not just endurance races would be improved, all racing in general would be improved in GT6. For example, NASCAR fans would be able to do 43 car races on some circuits and F1 fans would be able to do 24 car races compared to in GT5 where they have unrealistic, small-sized grids. On tracks like Circuit de la Sarthe there should be a max of 65 cars, on the Nurburgring 24 hr circuit should have a max of 100 cars , Daytona should have a max of 60 cars, Indianapolis Motor Speedway should have a max of 33 cars, mount panorama should have a max of 40 cars and Silverstone should have and max 40 cars. Other circuits would have a max of 30 cars unless they are under 1.5 miles (2.4km) where the max number of cars would be 24 cars. The pits would have more pit crews condensed in the pit lane for this to work and some cars would use the same pit crew. What are your thoughts about this? What would you change to this idea?
