I was in sarcasm mode here :dopey:
But completed your points 1 - 2 - 5.
Hesitated about point 3.
Doubted it would go uphill very well in #4
Set max speed to 130km/h and did #5: took it for a 5 lap arcade race in Tsukuba, were I met other 2CV, Kubelwagen etc.
Won by 37" over the second car. Lapped 4 of them too :D
Shame it it's not a premium... So now it is going into my stockyard to keep his sibling (which I had not tried yet) company.
 
Birthday cars seem to be off by one year. Mine (November) and my brothers (December) were both cars a year later than our birthday. Is PD trying to gift cars based on "Model year"? Like a 1991 Model year produced at the end of 1990?
Does someone have more details or is that a bug?

Not always exact. Mine was off by two years...
 
Ford Mustang Mach 1 '71...that's what I get for letting my dad set up a PSN account...*sigh* (posting this way late BTW it was the 4th). Just couldn't spring that extra 15K for the Dino, PD? They should really make it so that if you already have a car, you don't get it for your birthday.

I think that if the game doesn't have any cars that were manufactured on the year of your birth, the game will pick a car from the year closest to the year you were born.
(The game goes by the year of your DOB (date of birth) that you entered when setting up your PSN account)

I'm in the same boat. On my last bday I made sure I switched on GT6 to get a bday car like GT5 and was disapointed :(. Then a few days or weeks after (can't quite remember exactly) people started talking about bday cars!!!

Not quite.
The Abarth 1500 Biposto Bertone B.A.T. 1 (Premium-3.500.000 Cr.) was produced and introduced in 1952 (my year of birth).
But PD gave me a crappy Citroën 2CV ) 1954 (Standard-21.000 Cr.), the cheap 🤬 :D

But I don't care much, since I own all cars (some of them more than once...)
 
So, finally got my very first Gran Turismo birthday car, just barely missed it last year. Didn't have much expectations since I own every car.

Log in and there it was, Autobianchi Abarth 112 '79. They got the year right. So, I'm thinking what the he... I'll have some fun with it. Tuned it to the max, painted it metallic black and put redicilously big bright White rims on, and brake calipers bright red naturally.

And finally took it to Sierra. It was actually a blast to drive. There we were, a couple of 35 year olds driving like we were 18. Took it round the Sierra in 9:42. Thank you PD for the gift, really put a smile on my face.
 
So yesterday I got my birthday car. Thanks PD! I was under the impression we were gifted a car of the year we were born, but this year that wasn't the case. I received a '78 280Z. I was born in '81. Actually, born ON 1981. Jan 1! Also I didn't get one last year even though I bought the game on release day. Oh well.

You're not alone, the birthday cars didn't start until mid-late January. If you were born between December 6th and at least January 15th, you had to wait an entire year. Still waiting to get mine, but chances are I should get something decent having the fortune of being born in 1971. But after reading some of the other B-day cars people received, I'm fully expecting to get one of the Nissan 240's. Life could be worse I suppose. :)
 
My birthday is tomorrow so I didn't get a car last year. My birth year is 1982 so I will let you know what I get.
 
My birthday is in 2001.
But since my dad's information is on PSN, GT gets cars from the 60's (1964)
So, yeah.

I got a 1968 Honda S800 RSC ^-^
