I have discovered that in Arcade mode that you can confuse the game into giving cars colours from other cars (e.g. Nissan PAO '89 colours on the TVR Speed 12) rather than stating the name of the car. If you select that car the colour range will come up with the first cars colours then the selected cars colour. Now because the selected car doesn't have that many colours the first colour after the last original one is either a special colour (providing it has one) or black (if one of 4 black cars or Formula Gran Turismo). Wether it's just on the PAL copy or all of the I don't know.

You're going to need to post a video of that, because it didn't make an awful lot of sense to me.

Here is some poor quality photos I took off my profile on another site.

There are two methods used. (Note: I have copied and pasted from my profile Yellow 7 on acecombatskies.com)

I discovered years back that i could use any black or special coloured cars in Arcade by quickly pressing the combination (right.X,left,Triangle) the screen would eventually go back to the manufacturers screen. I go back into a manufacturer such as Nissan and the colours of the car that was showing before it exited would be there instead of the name. Go to a car with a special colour and those colours will join the chosen cars colours enabling the special colour to be selected. Also cars with many colours (such as the TVR's) you can just quickly press X and what ever direction is needed to get to the car you want and it will work. (Both processes can take practice and a while to work. I have the European PAL version as well).

Also don't pick the colours that say (on mine at least) BMW 130d. If selected the colour will return to the first colour.

Im very interested in the subject, but I have a hard time realizing what are you explaining. Is english your native languaje?

It is hard to explain and i'm sorry. I'll try and put as simple as possible. Firstly you press the right.X,left,Triangle buttons repeatedly really quickly. You should be going back and forth between cars and there colours. It can take a while and sometimes it it will almost happen instantly but eventually it will exit to the manufacturers screen. You will know if it worked because when the car selection screen faded out the colours were showing rather than the car details. Then go back into any manufacturer and those same colours will be showing unless you again exit the car selection. (shown in pic 1). Pick your car and the colours will still be there BUT with the selected cars colours (pic 2 and 3). Choose the first colour that the special colour appears on or otherwise it will revert to the first colour.

For the TVR method simply simultaneously press the X button and the directonal button that will take you to that car. The example for Pic 3 is that i pressed the X and right buttons while viewing the TVR Tuscan Speed 6 which then eventually (i have to express the EVENTUALLY!) selected the TVR Cerbera Speed 12 with both the Speed 6 and 12 colours. As you can see Chameleon (special colour replaces the silvery colour).

I apologise but this is as simple as I can put it until i can make a video which could take time.

And yes, English is my native language. Thank You :)

I tried the button sequence in ARcade. I'm not sure what's supposed to happen. Yea a vid would be nice.

I'll see what i can do asap. It does take a while like I said. I discovered when a I was trying to select a friends car and he didn't want it (was a citroen 2CV) and then it just blacked out and it all happened then.

in otherwords, you've discovered something very rare nowadays...an old fashioned Glitch. just like with a lot of games, I bet all the goodies are stuffed into the PAL format versions and the JDM one, and yanks get NUTHIN.

If you could get the actual colour of the cars to change too, that would be impressive.

Just a minor glitch which doesn't really affect anything in the game :indiff:

Yeah, a version of this glitch can be used to get race cars and other cars to go on rally tracks.

If you could get the actual colour of the cars to change too, that would be impressive.

Yeah, it would be nice to drive a snow white minolta.

I think a black Audi or Minolta would be even more impressive

Oh I can do this it's simple! For black Nissan R92CP for example just select Nissan from manufacturers, then press right;X;left;Triangle. If done fast enough you should be in manufacturers screen. Select Nissan again and you should be seeing colors on the bottom, as if you selected a car. Keep going right, the cars will change get to the last (Nissan R92CP), select it and choose the second color and it will be black! Enjoy, I hope you understand it.
