Then I decided I couldn't be bothered doing the Maths.
The statistical possibilities of having 2 sets of 2 people that share the same birthday out of a group of 10 have got to be utterly ridiculous!
And I still can't be arsed to work it out.

2 out of 10,
0.027

2 sets of 2 out of 10

0.00000695

Although it could be that people born certain days were destined to be good at GT4. :sly:

I'm at a loss on this combo. I've seen a faster T1 than posted here (high 26), but my best T2 doesn't get close to any I've seen posted here. I think that I lose a lot of time on the first left-hander after T1 and also on the long left sweeper (270 degrees corner) coming up to T2. Tips are more than welcome.

I'm slower than you at the moment, but I know where I'm losing it, I just need some laps to improve my line in the box.

This is an FF Car and MUCH harder to drive than this combo due to wheel spin and general squirliness, but here's a replay from DustDriver for WRS week 132 -

The lines should be close.

As I said before, I'm kicking the back end of the car out for the 170/180, whatever you want to call it. :P

Not super noticeable in the replay, but I can feel it in the wheel, which is incidentally the same as yours. :D

Also, I use mild feedback with the power assist off in the steering options for my G25. Allows for good feedback while maintaining quick reflexes. 👍

My first run-through:

28.020
1'05.414

And a little festive shot to add to the fun:

(I know, I didn't take the time to make the lighting correct on the banners, but you get the idea)

Go figure, I share the same birthdate with Jump_Ace

Whoa, no one I've met has had the same birthday as me so far, what year were you born? I was '79 :)

Jerome

EDK
My guess is '86. :sly:

Correct

Whoa, no one I've met has had the same birthday as me so far, what year were you born? I was '79 :)

Jerome

1986

was born before the calculated date of birth
and spent firts days of my life in a oxygen chamber (plexiglass box) :yuck:

But yeah, I've newer met anyone with the same birthday either :dopey:

Spent about 20 min on this one and got these as my fastest splits (though not my fastest lap, I hate when that happens :grumpy:) The tire difference is fabuloso too Kevin!

T1 - :27.114
T2 - 1:03.232

I just know there is a 1:02.9x there but this is all I can manage for now.

You're hired. 👍

Send me a link for that banner, if you would not mind. I'll add it to the top of my race threads. And the picture is now at the bottom of the first post. I'm sure Kenny will like it, he's a big fan of sparks. :dopey:

Got you on the board.

Thanks. :D Got you on the board. 👍

Its VERY important to listen to the RPM's as you go over the bumps and the big right turn before T1. If your rpm's start to sound deep gotta try it again. I wish in this case I could change the top speed, meh o wells.

Jerome

Well, thanx to some help here, I did find some improvement.

T1: 27.212
T2: 1'04.002

Another 20 laps and here's the new splits, i guess that's the most i can do with this one..

T1 27.450
T2 1'04.820

Made some progress this morning. Lost a little of it by the time I got to T2, but hopefully will be able to clean it up. Getting a better feel for what the car wants on the second run-through.

27.589
1'05.222

First splits

27.343
1'04.247

Fun combo, Kevin.

I may try again after work tomorrow if I get the chance to.

Cleaned mine up some with a last ditch effort and got to the modest goal that I set.

The replay looks really cool, I managed to slide the car nicely in some spots. :dopey:

27.429
1:04.075

Submitting now.

Deadline in 21 hours.

Looks like there will be some tight races in the middle of the board.

Ran another session and got some good improvement

27.185 (.045)
1:03.606 (.320)

That .320 T2 would have been nice to post but I missed the apex and ran wide at the second to last corner...and then it was time for bed

I ran a few more laps just now and finally got the hang of T2. I have seen a high '26 for T1, but this will have to do. :)

T1: 27.346
T2: 1'03.527

Just took a final stab and took a huge chunk off at the line.

27.708
1'04.672

Unfortunately this lap didn't have the speediest T1 I had seen of the week, but the middle of the course was my best.

Submitting 👍

Just submitted

Sorry for posting so late but I just finished my second session.

27.157
1'03.870

Results are up on post 2. 👍

Congrats to stidriver, Jake and 2078TM for their podiums. 👍

Thanks to everyone for your great support.

Some great close racing... or make it, some great damn close racing! A lot of sub-tenth gaps between places, even a .009! Great lap, stidriver, and Jake and 2078TM for the top 3 spots. stidriver, if I were competing, that would have been incredibly frustrating. I had a best lap of 1'23.952! The last sector is tricky, isn't it? Anyway, great job, everyone!

Here's my NTSC replay. Going to check Jake's now. 👍

Jake is clean and green.

I think this might be your home track, Jake? ;) Nice run.

Yes, it reminds me of the Northwest in the fall... I feel like I am running laps at Lime Rock for some reason. :)
