Straight from the site:

As for why its exciting:

1. PD actually used their blog to detail an upcoming update
2. While you only see another duplicate, its another free car coming and its a tuned version of the car we have (you know, like the NISMO GT-R that people also bitched about nevermind the fact that it was actually different from the base car as opposed to just a different colored version with no difference apart from color)
3. If you've been in the Racing section, A lot of people love to use a pace car for their series
and for a while the old Skyline GT-R From GT Concept was the only thing they had.

I get it, this game isn't giving you the content you want as quickly as you want like every other sim is but I swear it seems you've become a broken record and repeat the same tune everytime something new comes. If you're so done with the game, why do you feel the need to announce that you don't like this everytime and then say You're done? If you're done, why do you care anymore?

Three weeks (not a month) is hardly crazy compared to the five years we had to wait for GT5. Its a 5 years we didn't need to have even I admit, but the wait for this is puny in comparison.

Then skip my comments and don't lose your time replying. If they bother you in some way, then tough luck. I still love Gran Turismo, and hopefully PD reads these forums. True, I'm a bit upset at the game, but I will still give my opinion on it. I'm not the first person to do it, and not the last that will. I will keep repeating myself as necessary until the Gran Turismo becomes the game it should've been 7 years ago.

Ok that's cool, it's a pace car, cool, but PD is moving at such a snail's pace with content it's a little ridiculous if you ask me. Here it is a month from the one year mark and we have gotten only a handful of "NEW" cars, but several duplicates. C7, FT-1, Mercedes VGT, M4 all have some form of duplicate. ISF ccs-r, Toyota TSo30, Hudson, GT-R Nismo to me are somewhat unique. We are just starving for more real life cars from old to new cars and more real life tracks, preferably Sebring and VIR. PDs turtles speed in a rabbit's race is just getting old and then they announce it and we have to wait a month is crazy, announce it and put it in the game within a day or two is a more realistic approach to me, that's all.
And nearly all if not all of these new cars were purely for promotional reasons and not for the interests of the customers, To add to that it has all been completely drip fed thus giving no incentive for players like me to brush the dust off the GT6 box. They have got everything so wrong about gt6

That's your response, Really? I simply asked why you even cared if you are supposedly done with the game, I didn't come to attack you because the comments you say "bother" me (where do you even get that?). I just genuinely wanted to know because it seems you say one thing that tells everyone you don't care anymore but yet when something new comes out and your back again.

Well, my most sincere apologies. I definitely misinterpreted your comment. It's just that it gets frustrating after checking the news section on a daily basis, for almost a month, and then when you think the next big thing is finally coming, I come up with stuff like this. Sure, there is nothing regarding this will be the only thing coming, but there is also no guarantee that something else will come.

I'm just a frustrated GT fan. It's been so long, and Gran Turismo, even though I still consider it the best car game out there, I can't help to feel they owe a lot. Or maybe not owe a lot, but they are just not doing something right. The game could be much better, without necessarily having more.

Looks great!

YES YES YES!!!!!! A PROPER SAFETY CAR AT LAST!:drool:

I hope to god that it will come with the lightbar and strobes. And an on/ off switch for them. And give the GT-R pace car finally the ability to turn the lights on or off.💡

Its cool at first glance, but then you remember that its just a reskin that PD try to pass off as fresh content to keep people entertained despite the fact there hasn't been any actual new content in ages.
I wouldn't count on this being the only thing for November however.

Except its not the only thing in the update. Its the most publicized (and no doubt, BMW is a big reason for that), but its not the sole content in the update.

Also, its not a reskin unlike the Frozen Black Metallic M4 . Its car that's actually different from the base car we have with performance upgrades (including an interior that's for sure isn't in the car we currently have in the game) in addition to the Proper LED Grille lights and Roof Bar.

Yeah, but if you look at the images released it clearly had no roll cage and the seats are exactly the same. Disappointing really,

I saw that (which makes them saying that abit odd, though its mentioned the shots are from WIP).

Maybe the GT Safety Car Version is a different machine to the DTM Pacecar or the real interior might not be finished yet.

Honestly, I don't care about the safety car. But what I DO care about (and liked) is PD using the Pit Stop site to announce GT6 related news. They need to do that more often because let me tell you, that is what I (and probably many others) like the most. Despite not being news about the Course Maker or what not, at least PD have spoken and have informed their fans on whats going with said game or series. Athough I'm still mad at them, but PD gets a 👍 from me for this one.

Respect. :)

Whilst the positivity is welcomed I'm not sure what relevance the Pitstop blog has to do with announcing news. PD have always made announcements about content and updates through their main website, and this one here was no exception. The blog piece fleshes it out and adds some details (although in true PD style some of them are a bit confusing haha), but it's pretty much the same stuff that they've always delivered to us fans. So I don't really know what you're praising PD for tbh.

I was expecting past GT Awards winners to have their cars enter GT6 in time for SEMA '14, but knowing the new Safety Car will actually appear in SEMA, I guess I'm half-correct?

Looking forward to modifying my legally owned Frozen Black Metallic M4 when customization is unlocked.

GASP, you're right!! And I praised PD!? Grrr *slaps self* That aside, this car is worthless...
