Look. It looks more like someone messed with a M5 badge for an hour, and then modified a 6 Series.
M models usually always look more distinct than their counterparts. Now, when I say counterparts, I mean cars they pretty much descend from.
M3-Very easy to tell from it's 3 series. Changed front bumper. Wheels are changed to their M3 type. And more.
M5-This is one is a bit different. It does look like its counterpart, the 5 Series, but their a few spots on it that make it different. For example. The new M5 is to have 4 exhaust pipes, 2 on each side of the back. The 5 series now, only has 2. I agree, the M5 doesn't look too much changed, there are quite a few than the 5 series.
M6-Yes, it too, looks similiar to its counterpart, but it too can be identified by its exhaust. 6 series had one exhuast, and the M6 was built with 2 for the power. That's pretty much all I can tell from just a quick look in person. My 1st time to ever see one and a 6 series together. Unfornately, didn't see enough to see changes.
^Just a note, by reading this, you should know what 6 I'm talking about.
Only the M1 and M4 are exceptions.
1:The M4 is new along with the 4 series. For me, I'd have to look in person to see changes for myself.
2: The M1 was a car of its own. There was what I think was said to be a 1 series, but it never looked like that.
M1 was pretty much what the Z8 is now. BMW's top supercar.
