wow!!! BMW have been on a roll lately.. they won the last grad prix.. and now held the top 2 poll positions in the canadian grad prix, not only that they finished in the top 3.. what did BMW do to thier car?? chamba lang ba?? hehe.. anyword?? let me know.. tnx..

Just good old fashioned development, I think. They seem to have made a bit of a leap in the last two rounds. It has me intrigued as to whether Montoya would have won at Canada if he hadn't had that silly spin - never seen a car oversteer off there. Seen plenty go straight into the wall (including three world champs in '99!), but never spin.

The car was always grunty, but their pace at Monaco would suggest that the improvements have come at the chassis/aerodynamic end of the deal.

I would agree with Vat_Man, as I tend to when it comes to matters F1. However, I would say that while the spin at the final chicane almost certainly cost him the race, it seems that the Vat didn't see qualifying, where Villeneuve did the same thing. I would say that Montoya's spin was a case where the traction control failed to curb the driver's enthusiasm

Indeed - I did not see qualifying. We Australians are not privy to such things.

Yeah I dont think the engine has anything to do with what happened at monaco or canada, well what I mean is the engines have been great all year long but the car has been getting better and better.

Youre right, we constantly get ripped in this area, we get to see about 1 1/2 minutes on the news if we are lucky, same goes for the race (if we didnt get up to watch it)

the only motor racing i see on the news is nascar. I have been stuck without cable or sattelite for a while so i get to follow races over the web.
