Bmw Z4 Coupe Extra pics

The Z4 and TVR look good in different ways, the T350C is a pretty plain car by TVR standards, however it's design is a flowing one, it's more elegant as Young_Warrior put it.The Z4 is very busy with it's flame surfacing but it's design is just like that of a 1 series, the Z4 and 1 series have far more in common design wise than the Z4 and any TVR. I can see what area kensei is talking about the Z4 and T350 being similar and that is the side profile, however 1001 cars will look the same just taking the side profile into account. The details of the cars are extremely different. The BMW is a nice car, it will take sales off the Audi TT and Boxsterover here, which is a good thing when you see so many of thoes around.

I'm a TVR freak so I'd take a TVR over almost anything. But in this case the Sagaris you posted a couple of pics of before would anhialate the Z4 M coupe and Cayman S round any track or road and cost a similar ammount maybe less. The T350 would keep up and cost a lot less.

I can't tell by looking at them side by side, but does the Z4 Coupe meet the European standards of Pedestrian Safety or whatever it's called that the Z4 Cabriolet missed? Or does it not have to meet the standards as it is an update to a new car?

I didn't like the Z4 till I saw one on the road.

But this looks terrible IMO. Though I was never a fan of the small BMW sports cars.

That Z4 Coupe is gorgeous! Beautiful. I'm really suprised by how nice that looks.

Wow, I can't get over that. Just wow. Finally Bangle has done something right.

Now all we need is one with the M3 motor :sly:

Please! M3!!!

I agree, the car looks gorgeous, and resolves a lot of problems I had with the rear end styling. Looks more cohesive than the convertible, except for the line between the window, the roof and the door shut line... which I can live with.

The Z4 is probably one of the few Bangle designs that actually has any kind of flow. The 5, 7 and 1 series all have mismatched joins and lines that terminate in odd areas... interesting, but disjointed and often poorly placed. The Z4, despite the odd placement of lines and accents, actually flows and moves, and is quite good looking in real life... except when you've got that top up... it just doesn't meld... nor does the rear end, which looks tacked on, 7-series style. The coupe actually gives the rear-end a reason for being.

And Live4Speed is right, it looks ABSOLUTELY nothing like a Tuscan. They're both two door straight six coupes for God's sake... it's like saying the Saleen S7 looks exactly like the Zonda, or the Lotus Esprit looks exactly like a 512BB. They're clothed around a shape that's optimum for the engine placement and drivetrain, but are otherwise nothing alike.

By anychance was it a golden cebera.? I would also take a tvr over this and the porsche.
Guess what I would take any TVR over any BMW and Porsche.

I really like the look of that Z4 coupe. Which is strange since i absolutely hate the Z4. It was the same with the Z3 and Z3 coupe. I suppose i just hate convertables and the sort of person who buys them.

I'd still have a Caymen over the Z4 coupe, and a T350C over both of them.

Yeah, I thought the Z3 coupe was better looking too although there wasn't as much as a gap as the Z4's. I think it was the Deep Dishes on the Z3 Ms that did it, although I don't know why they couldn't make it deeper in the front?

- I suppose its down to space, the front wheels are narrower but still need to contain the disks and calipers.

In the UK we only got the M powered Z3 coupe and none of the lesser engined versions. The first time i saw a Z3 coupe that wasn't the 'M' version was on holiday in Italy, with the narrower arches and less muscular stance, it was half the car the Mcoupe was.

Until now, my choice of the medium price bracket sports car (S2000, Z4 etc) would probably have been the Boxster S but now I would actually consider getting this BMW instead.

Its funny that Porsche, maker of some of the best looking cars in the world have made the Cayman which IMHO is the worst looking Porsche in decades (on a oar with the Cayenne I'd say) when they tried to do a coupe version of their mid price sports car. But when BMW, who have recently had a spate of, shall we say, less than good looking cars, tried it, they came up with this.

I must say I got use to the Z4 looks over time.

Its still a car for girls and estate agents. I always feel sorry for blokes that i see driving Z4's - its probably why they're always hiding behind sunglasses ;)

Late reply but no, it wasn't the Charisma Cerbera wasn't shown, that looks more like a race car with a metalic gold paint job. I don't like it much, but these were all done in a similar way people do up Saxo's and Fiesta's.

and you're not on your own taking a TVR over the others by a long shot. It dependswhat your after in a car mainly, but if thrills come before practicality (which they should in a class like this) then the TVR should be above anything from a Boxter/Cayman S and more..

They ****ed up the best part of the Z4, the rear end. The little ducktail spoiler in the middle of the Z4 roadster's rear end adds strength and character. Plus, it's just plain beautiful. Now it looks as if they just grafted the rear end from the 7 or 6 series onto the back of the Z4. And that rear end is my least favorite design detail on most modern BMWs. Why, Von Hooydonk, whhyyyy?

*strokes the Z4 Coupe, sexfully*

I like it, of course, I already loved the Z4.

I don't get the whole "it's a secretary car" crap.

Miatas, Z4's, Z3's...I like my cars to be feminine, I am masculine enough, I don't need a overly phallic automobile, thanks.

Eh...as I said, I prefer my cars to have a feminine look to them.

I'll take sensuousness and hips over gaudiness and brutality any day.

Thats what men who like men say.

Isn't that called flaming?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it is, unwarranted too.

Anyways, if you don't have a better response than "hur hur, yer ghey" don't post.

I was joking :guilty:
I would drive the z4 and z3 anyday. I would also drive a miata but i wouldnt want to own one even if it was given to me.

Ah, you can put a "j/k" at the end of a post and turn it from a "Ha ha! You love balls!" into "Ha ha! Let's make fun of people who think only guys who love balls would drive these cars!" with ease.

Why wouldn't you want a Miata?

I can deal with the quirky suspension bits and whatnot for 30+Mpg and fun.

I wouldnt want a miata because I would never be able to get the keys from my mom or sister. Its just too soft.

This now looks good, I like it much better over the convertible version.

Maybe this can turn into like the new M Coupe. Saying which, I do miss the old ones...

Ya know.

BMW has a line devoted to cranking out the old 3.2 Liter M3 engines....

The next M3 is going to have a whole new 4.0 Liter V-8...

This car would be the perfect home for those 3.2 I-6's...

A CSL version later maybe...kiss up towards 400 Hp from that Six...drop the weight close to 2600 lbs maybe....

Start saying hello to TVR's and 911 Turbos as competition...

I likey.
