Bored of GT7? Over 130 Custom Races, Super Fast Setup

Thank you
No worries mate šŸ˜Š

My apologies for mucking up the the All Yellows mission event info. I forgot to remove the maximum BHP and required upgrades section. I pasted the Track Attack event info and missed those parts. The mission is intended to be played with a stock Mercedes AMG GT Safety Car. The info has been corrected in the previous events document.

The events for the 28th of November are up.

Todayā€™s slate:
  • The Porsche Mission X in the rain at Suzuka
  • Become the best Group 1 driver alive in the World Group 1 Masters event
  • A detour on a US road trip sees you compete in a race at Trial Mountain with either the 2007 Audi R8 or 2015 Aston Martin Vantage S
  • A Grand Prix at Spa in the Mercedes-Benz W 196 R

It says "Select Opponents from Garage" but I'm praying"One Make" is also viable
You can also use that, the ā€œselect opponents from garageā€ is an optional thing for if you want custom driver names. Although unless you want the default livery on the opponents, in practice it is the same to use select from garage and not change the names. But thatā€™s definitely a good reason to One-Make over it, I will actually update the post to mention that. Thanks for bringing that up, I hadnā€™t considered it.

It was more the fact that I don't intend on purchasing more than one of those classic 20-million motors!
You donā€™t need to - select from garage automatically gives the AI your current car. But it also uses the same livery so if you want to keep the livery on your car and also have the AI use the default livery, One-Make will do that.

pit strategy came into play at trial mountain went into fuel saving mode after my lap 21 pitstop to make it last to the end.
I must apologise. I mixed up the tyre wear and fuel consumption modifiers! Iā€™m glad youā€™re enjoying the races, and thank you for playing so often!

The events for the 2nd of December are up! Sleep schedule is upside down... again. Intended on getting Friday's events out on Saturday, but after that didn't happen, I thought I may as well wait until Monday.

Here are today's events:
  • A Bullitt-inspired duel at Laguna Seca
  • Any Porsche Carrera model in a one-make race with no PP limit, no tyre limit, four time of day choices, and different starting grid positions depending on the time of day you choose
  • Battle for a podium at the NĆ¼rburgring Grand Prix circuit in the Group 4 Provocare

will see what shenanigans race will be up to tonight seen 2 ais spinning out at le mans last night one on lap 3 while another ai ran out of gas and one spun out hitting a wet spot on the final lap.

The events for the 4th of December are up!

Today, we have:
  • European cars costing at least 100,000 credits at Fuji
  • Spa in the pouring rain, at night, in Group 1 cars
  • Mid-80s to early 00s Japanese cars in a long night run at Tokyo Expressway - South Counterclockwise

The events for the 5th of December are up! I apologise for the delay. I was just slow at being productive. Need to work on it, it is a struggle.

Here are today's races:
  • A one-make race for the Lexus LFA at Yamagiwa Reverse
  • An American Group 3 car of your choice at Big Willow, under the moonlight
  • Stay in the top-two for the whole race, outside of the pit-stop window, in an X2019 one-make race at Suzuka

I hope you like the new addition to each set of event details!

Not sure if there will be any races today. I'm starting to run out of ideas. Trying to not repeat anything I've done from the custom career if possible. Does anyone have any ideas for car/engine/country combos?

I don't want to rely too much on doing something like Group 1/2/3/4 but with a car from each country. That's the kind of thing I'd rather keep to one or two events in total to try and keep it as fresh as possible.

Here's my list of the kinds of things that I base events on. I also listed some GT Sport events as a reminder when I was writing this document.

GT Sport events

  • One-make
  • Drivetrain events
  • Drivetrain events during a certain time period (e.g. 90s FR Challenge)
  • Manufacturer Nationality (e.g. CompĆ©tition de France)
  • Group 4/3 cups
  • Real Circuit Tours

-------

  • Events for a specific model of car (e.g. Z Heritage, Audi TT, Supra Legend, GT-R Cup)
  • Events based on engine type (e.g. Boxer Spirit, The Passion of Dr. Wankel)
  • Events based on a time period (e.g. Nostalgic Car Festival, non-race cars built in 1979 or earlier)
  • Events based on body type (e.g. World Hatchback Championship, Lightweight K Cup)
  • Events based on a class of car (e.g. Premium Sports Lounge)
  • Events based on a type of car and/or its country of origin (e.g. J-Sports Meeting, Stars & Stripes)
  • Events for a specific manufacturer (e.g. Lamborghini Cup, La Festa Cavallino)
  • Events for similar models within the same manufacturer (e.g. Beetle & Samba Bus Festa)
  • Car type (road/racing/concept/roadster/coupe etc)
  • Car drivetrain
  • Car engine type
  • Car region
  • Tuning parts (turbos, superchargers, high RPM special upgrade, etc)
  • Engine swaps
  • Custom body parts (race ready etc)
  • Specific drivetrain/car manufacturer wide bodies? JDM?
  • Turning road car into Gr.4 car
  • Turning road car into Gr.B car?
  • Specific model of car (Z Heritage, Auti TT, Supra Legend, GT-R Cup etc)
  • Car body type (hatchback, Kei car etc)
  • Time period
  • Class of car (premium car, executive car, everyday car etc)
  • Manufacturer nationality (French cars, British cars etc)
  • Type of track (sweepers, chicanes, etc)
  • Type of track matching the type of car
  • Type of track contrasting with the type of car
  • Idea from @John_Marsten on GTPlanet: European road cars at US tracks and vice versa

Hey, everyone. There will not be any more races published. I am moving on to a writing project which demands all of my attention, I won't have the time to keep up with these.

The 5th of December's events have been added to the Previous Events document. I'll also be adding a logo to each event in the document over time so it's all uniform.

Thank you to everyone who played them, I hope you enjoyed, and I hope it brought some more fun to the offline part of GT7.

Thank you for all that you have done for us, wishing you the best in your new endeavor.

@Theufcveteran Thank you for your contribution to the community. I have often had a blast with some of your race sets and plan to go back to some of them every now and then (saved them as custom presents).
Best of luck with your new project!
Godspeed!

@Theufcveteran doing the work, as usual. Thank you mate, that's a really great job you're doing right now.
Thank you for the kind words everyone! I will forever love this community and love Gran Turismo, even if the latter can be very frustrating, haha.

As for the future, the project is a full story told through custom made quests in a video game. I'm hoping I can put on my CV as an example of my writing. It would be a really big step if I can pull it off well. I've scoped out the tools and I think it's doable.

I'll still be hanging out and dropping the odd comment in the forum, but I'm really going to hunker down and get this done.

If you scroll up you will see me lament on my issues with productivity unless the deadline is external or someone's expecting something of me.

But this, this story, the production if it, because it's part of the custom quest system in the game, is tangible, I can see the produced version, that really helps me push through when there isn't external accountability. So - maybe I'll be in a writing gig this time next year!

All the best to everyone, and thank you again for playing and sharing the kind words.
