I wish and want.

Primarily because that second engine option is a new ‘motorsport-derived’ 2.1-litre nat-asp four-cylinder bearing double overhead cams, forged steel conrods, a billet crank, motorsport-spec fuel and ignition, and a weight of just 85kg.
It’ll also rev to 10,000rpm and produce 296bhp along the way, matched to a five-speed dogleg gearbox and a bespoke titanium exhaust system “tuned for performance and exhilarating sound”.
Boreham’s offering another engine variant – a standard-fit 1.8-litre ‘Twin Cam’ with fuel injection and a dry sump – kicking out 182bhp on its way to 9,000rpm. That’s allied to a four-speed manual ‘straight-cut’ gearbox. Both are of course, rear-wheel-drive.

I will admit, the fact that it's a fully fresh build made with the original Ford blueprints and not just new bits being slapped into a crusty old chassis is quite interesting. A bit of a shame that it seems to be designed for use as a flashy track toy and not with road use in mind, but I guess if I were going to spend 300k on a Mk. I Escort of any kind, I wouldn't be planning on taking it out on public roads either.

That’s nearly $600,000 AUD. If I could afford that I’d be driving as much as I see same value Ferraris and McLarens here… a lot. ;)
