As a GT Sport player I am finding it difficult to get cars around the track without a Brake Balance Controller when BoP is in effect.

It is interesting to note that they are allowed in Circuit Experience.

What are your thoughts and should they be BoP exempt?

Definitely for the Group racing cars, not for the road car races where tuning should be opened up completely by default anyway IMO.

BB controller definitely for race cars. I would entertain some mild tuning but only comfort things like dif and aero, overall I like BoP in the B/C lobbies I find myself in, plenty of car variation, no real meta advantage as there is too much talent left on the table.

Yes, brake force distribution should definitely come back to BoP races. After all, it is also allowed to drive with a manual gearshift.
And in many situations, MT drivers have an advantage simply because they can use the engine brake on FF or FR vehicles to slow down the drive axle a little. This is very useful and extremely helpful, especially for FR vehicles.
I'm still way too bad with MT, shift gears way too often and a little fact by the way... my wife has the quite loud noise of the paddle shifters on my T248.

With the brake force distribution, I could bring some calmness to some vehicles when braking.

logically, yes but the way they were implemented in regards to the physics, needs work, especially noticeable in GT Sport's brake bias conundrum

203 “views” and only 21 “votes”?

C’mon people, if you are reading it, cast your vote!

If this is shown to be an issue, then maybe somebody from PD who is scanning these forums could take it forward with the devs.:gtpflag:

I voted yes. I'm not very big on tuning, but it helps a lot to have just one adjustable knob that can greatly effect the car's handling in-race. Sometimes I would even toggle it to different settings for different corners, and tire wear definitely used to play a factor in how to set it for the longer races with high wear. I won't complain too much about not having it because if I don't have it, then nobody else does either, so we are all dealing with the same issue, but if race cars have them irl then it makes sense they would have them in the game. It's weird to have a BB controller on a regular old road car, but for race cars it seems pretty standard and I'd like to have the ability to adjust it. Having said that, it's very possible that not having them will make me better as a driver because I'll be forced to adjust my driving style to the car rather than adjusting the BB to my particular style of braking and releasing the brakes while turning in.

Brake balance to me isn't tuning as such, it's driver preference. Some people prefer a bit to the rear, others the front, and having the ability to change bias on the fly in Sport didn't ruin any racing, so what's the harm?

I used it all the time in GTS. BB to the front made the MR cars easier while BB to the rear made the FR cars feel faster. I always set it to rear in the high tire wear races, it help a lot with wear on the front tires.

I feel like we are going to have a lot more uncompetitive cars in all the Groups because of this. FR cars in particular need it the most.

Sorry to revisit this but it really needs fixing. All I’m trying to do is make cars stable enough to get round the track.

There seems no logical explanation, to me, as to why BoP races exclude their use.

Please fix this.

Still looking for a fix.

Gr3 cars are hard enough without them, can’t imagine the horror of trying to get a Gr2 or Gr1 around a track. Not bought one yet as I’m not about to waste in game credits so that I can proceed directly to the scene of the accident.

PLEASE PD, make it so that they are useable in BoP races.

I voted yes 100%. Taking it out doesn't make any sense to me, some cars seem uncompetitive without it IMO.
This needs to be Changed!
