i dont know if this happens to anybody else but when i brake when drifting it dont work.ill have a nice long drift up until the point where i have to break to slow down for the next turn.i looked when i was drifting, i would brake and only get understeer or my speed will only drop about about 3 or 4 mph which is not enough.i tried slamming the brakes and pumping but nothing seems to work. if you have any suggestions please tell me

i don't alter the brake balance, and use left foot braking(logitech G25 wheel) to tuck the car into the apex more if i'm sliding out too much and it doesn't understeer on most cars on the game
as TofuStoreDrift said, what car and tyre set up you using?

i use braking a LOT, never touch the brake balance. In my experience you have to brake while still in over-steer or having the rear-swinging around. If you brake once you are straightening out you will under-steer instead of slowing down, and increasing angle. Wish i could explain it better. Just takes trial and error. Although i haven't touched gt5p in a loooong time. :indiff:

As others have said, we need more info before any real help can be given. So...

Tires...
Car(s)...
HP....

The more info you give, the better help you will receive.

you may be going to fast into the corner. I often use N1s and I never have this problem so either you're going to fast or perhaps the entry line is wrong.
but what track is it? if it's the first corner at suzuka east, the entry speed should be about 95mph.

hope it helped :)

Set front tyre pressure really low(like 2-3) and the rear really high(7-8+) and that should help alot

I would say that's a last resort. You can solve this problem through technique, without resorting to fancy and/or unorthodox tuning.

It sounds like you're drifting too slow, or just hitting the brakes too hard mid corner. Hard to tell without a video, or at least an in depth explanation of what you are doing, from corner entry to corner exit.

here is a example, eiger reverse. Ill start the drift about halfway through the tunnel and drift all the way until i have to turn for the left corner.but when brake to slow myself down i get nowhere just a few mph slower

You're not countering fast enough to catch the drift. That's part of the issue. The second part is you should brake then begin to weight transfer to switch. So its like drift, drift, brake, cut to the left, drift, drift.

I hope that makes sense.

Honestly, I think you're expecting too much from the brakes.

You should have initiated your drift (out of the tunnel) earlier, and then if you still need to slow down (while you are drifting) go ahead and give the brakes a small nudge to bring the nose in (towards the apex). Then get back on the throttle right away so you don't lose momentum.

It's all just balancing the steering and the throttle. Choosing your initiation points wisely, and making small adjustments if you miss your ideal initiation point.

Hope that helps.
