Its all I'm used to. Have never used a wheel! :(
wheels are good you should try and get one!! I was in the same position as you at Christmas and it took me a month to get used to it!!! I will let you know before the race whether or not I can/will participate with the pad!

Hey paolo, sorry to be a bother again (although this time I did prep you for it ), but I'd like to switch cars again.

I've tested five cars in the last hour or so:
  • SRT Viper GTS
  • McLaren F1
  • McLaren MP4
  • Ferrari 458
  • Zonda C12S
The Viper surprised me in two ways - it's smoothness and the fact that it is actually quite uncompetitive despite having around 15 or so more PP than the others.
The F1 is sweet - the fact it has built-in aero means that it's really stable, but it hasn't quite got the feel I'm looking for.
The MP4 (my one, at least) is actually quite rigid around this track but my basic tune could be the reason for that.
The 458 was as I expected it to be - reasonably stable and reasonably fun to drive. No surprises for me, seeing as it was usually my number one roadcar pick back in the GT5 era.
The Zonda is a little harder to drive due to not having any aero parts available in the parts garage and also because it's near enough at the weight limit already which means no ballast to play around with. However, it's defo more fun to drive than the others, and more of a challenge as well.

If I was Goldilocks, I'd go for the 458 as it's the one that sits right in the middle, performance-wise.

If the Viper was a tad more competitive, I'd go for that, seeing as I would have preferred to race in an American car for this one.

But, on balance, I think I'll go for the Zonda C12S as I did at Spa. It's the one which puts a smile on my face when I drive it and keeps me honest by making sure I'm alert enough to keep it on the track.

New car choice: Zonda C12S please :)

i think it's no bad.but you have to look too the resulting performance points, torque, aerodynamics, and the most important...in one race of 1 hour the car has to be easy to drive.but if you find a good setup, specially the gear box can save enough torque.
I realized last night that that stratos....unfortunately does not meet the weigh requirements....back to the drawing board!......i do have a really great setup on it right now though.

Ok mate, no worries :)

Will put you down for the Zonda :) Would of been nice to see another 458 on the grid. It would of been one with a chance of victory to! lol

go6

Can you not add ballast to make it meet the regs?

I think it's because the Stratos weighs in at under 1000kg stock and, because the maximum amount of ballast that can be added to a car is 200kg, it won't make the weight limit.

Online was fine for me last night.

Tested 3 cars now down to two. Ones slightly faster but hard on it's tyres where the other although slower on one lap I think will be faster over the course of an hour.

I'm getting into the 1.34's now. Anyone else care to share their times?

¡Good morning!!! i have created a room to train for the thursday raceto make me an idea, because that i've not tested.Only i had a question,¿do i have to change the type of tyres or just stop at the pit stop?

The room is: 1472-6681-3415-7077-9407

I've been averaging in the 1:29's and 1:30's. Have you added any upgrades to your car or are you running it stock?

Morning :) SS tyres are the only compound used for this race. Keep SS when you make your stop :)

i think the same thing about the mine.one time start to wear out tyres my half times is very close to 1:29 and i've to drive very carefully.otherwise it pulls me to the neck every 4 or 5 curves and tries to kill me,how would say Jeremy Clarkson.:ill:  :ouch:

If we plan only one stop, it's 30-32 minutes to do with the sames tyres: 20-22 laps....
We may end with tyres at

6 / 7
6 / 7
... or worse

We sould tune the cars considering that !
I've maked one simulation of 24 laps.but i was stopped at lap 21 because my times were getting worse .i'm not too regular.here the testing, sorry, too much free time :P

At least, it is now tuned, painted and ready to race !
It is a bit less fun that I expected so I will test other options ;)

I agree Kefran. I was looking forward to testing this car the most, but actually what I found was that it's actually quite tame compared to my expectations... I was hoping for a nice big helping of 'grunt'... not to be found though.
I was, however, impressed with how smooth it is - it's just a little too smooth, imo.
The McLaren F1 is a very good choice - it has aero and so will probably be good on its tyres over a longer duration 👍 Kinda regretting not choosing it myself actually, as I was only a few tenths off my Zonda pace, and that was with a slap-on tune, no tweaking.

You're very right ABOE,I tried the Zonda C12 7.3 '02 but modified and is a beast, less carelessly cut you head.
1:27,896 is to blame.now you are thinking i am.jajajajjjajja

I see laps in 1'27.xxx hidden in this sentence ;):)

Your tyres management looks impressive. In the test I have done, I was far from being as efficient.

This car is AWESOME - I don't have it, and I don't think I will have enough credits to buy it in time for the race, but I would use it if I did. I remember it from GT5 - it actually became my fave roadcar by replacing the 458.

1:27.xxx are possible. I don't usually like to give away my practise times, but actually it can sometimes help to spur one another on so...

Yes - I have 1:27.xxx pace. But it's more like very low 1:28.xxx pace atm. I'm still working on my tune. ATM, my car has some extra ballast to bring it up to 1275kg to allow for ballast placement and better distribution of weight. However, I'm just about to go out on track and test the car at 1220kg to see how it handles, and if there's any noticeable, positive change in the pace.
