All aboard? I'm in.

Hopefully we get news so we can move away from the F1 Senna talk, as interesting a character he is. The possibility is there to include one of his cars. It is McLaren's 50th anniversary as well.

Are we going to get dissapointed again guys?

Of course, but that is all part of the fun. I just want to see one new car. Show me an Alfa Romeo 4C or SLS AMG Black Series and I won't be able to complain too hard. And it cannot possibly be as disappointing as TGS (which was barren over all).

Ferrari the production car company is owned by FIAT, the formula 1 team is technically called Scuderia Ferrari and sort-of seperate from the production car branch

Hmm, what do you mean by sort of? What I'm finding is that by all accounts, the F1 team is simply part of Ferrari, and is owned by Fiat, not a separate entity. Money made from sales of ferrari road cars, funds the F1 team.

Nope. Money made from racing funds the street car side of the business.

With Amar somehow reconfirming “heart breaking level” news from Brazil in the hours to come, I still wonder how PD could integrate a tribute on par with the racing legend Ayrton Senna is and deal with the difficulties such a project implies.

Interlagos track with a bunch of iconic F1 cars he drove (JPS Lotus, MP4 in different flavors...) and the emblematic yellow and green helmet could make an absolute incredible DLC pack. Full benefits would go to Ayrton’s Institute. Making this a caritative project could not only ease some of the reluctance of the different right holders involved but it would be a pretty smart launch campaign for the game itself.

It could even be “ok” for the most “Day One DLC phobics” around us.

Source please. Maybe you found something newer but according to Montezemolo, circa 2008, road car sales fund the F1 team.

Yep, the road car company was introduced to fund the F1 team and it remains that way. Ferrari's absolute #1 priority is to compete in Formula One. Producing road cars has always been second in line. There's a reason why "SF" is a part of the Ferrari logo even seen on the road cars. Scuderia Ferrari aka Team Ferrari.

Think of them as McLaren just in a much, much more advanced stage in their road car business.

Considering amar's “heart breaking level” quote and the proposed new site banner (#222), I now demand Interlagos, the McLaren-Honda, a Senna special event and.....new sounds or comparable (good track editor).
