Going to make a slight change to the entry list after tonight's race*. Anyone who's taken part in three of the four races will be on a full time list. Those with two or less completed races will be on a part time/reserve list.

Those on the part time/reserve list will be on it in order of how many races they've competed in, and when their last race was (specifics to figured out over the weekend) This will allow me to look at expanding the list, should we need it for the second half of the season. If you end up on the second list, you'll be given priority placement over new entries.

*subject to change, depending on how successful it is.

Opening the lobby a little earlier than usual, tonight.

It'll be open in 20 mins. Quali begins at the usual time.
Were we running at 5pm or the sunset setting, I remember you asking a few days ago but can't remember reading anything had changed?

Race Report!

Damn, this was a lot of fun. Good vibes from practice to race end.

During practice I was able to lap a low 45, which I think put the lobby into a bit of a stunned silence! It certainly had me in disbelief. I had @Mistah_MCA behind me and he wasn't catching up. One of the best laps I ever put in anywhere.

Couldn't quite carry it to quali, but I got in the 46s and that was my goal. It was pretty close from about 4th to 8th for most of that session, but I couldn't improve on my first hot lap and messed up Ascari on one I think might've beaten it. Oh well, 8th is good enough for me.

Onto the race and a slightly sloppy rolling start for us at the back, a little contact but I don't think any blame to be dished around. The rolling start caught me at an awkward moment through Parabolica and the cars ahead got a much better exit.

Then I said hello to the gravel at Ascari. Pulled a classic Vettel unsafe re-entry and unfortunately got slightly tangled up with @RacingGrandpa, apologies for that, you let me by like a proper gent.

So, recovery drive mode, and in the first couple laps I was eating the gap to the cars who'd inherited my spot pretty greedily. I made a lovely outside pass on @The_Tullster at T1 and that set the mood for the race.

I'd built up a few seconds gap when, I'll be honest, I got distracted by the timing sheet and went wide at Curva Grande, allowing Fudsy the pass, so head down again to make a move, this time the inside at T1.

The race basically settled into that - make a mistake, Fudsy flies by, head down, extract the pace, and get ahead again. My only goal was to finish where I started in P8. Some skechy laps and definitely some moments where I lost a bag of time, particularly Parabolica where @The_Tullster seemed more consistent than me.

But - mainly by talking to myself - I was able to fend off too many more mistakes and come home in P8.

I MIGHT have gone forwards if it weren't for my sloppy opening laps, but once I was out of slipstream I couldn't make up time, and to be honest I think that pack was just a touch too quick for me.

Pleased with the outcome anyway. Thanks to @Bivittavus88 for hosting, and everyone for turning up. Congrats to @GOTMAXPOWER for his ridiculous pace and the win - this man laps 44.9 on a DS4 in chase cam. Just take a moment to think about that.

Looking forward to the next one and really glad I came out.

Congrats to @GOTMAXPOWER on another hat-trick.

Might have been a bit frustrated with myself at the very start. This was the first time where I started driving pretty aggressively, which resulted in me almost binning it two more times and a couple love taps.

You were surprisingly aggressive when you were behind me. Kinda caught me off guard a bit, and meant that I missed my braking point for the 2nd chicane.

Note. As I've had to cancel my 300km of Brands, I may add that combo into this series, with a few changes. A drop to100km being the main one.

Some largely steady racing tonight but with some hard battles in a spiky car. If I'm going to clean house in Am Cup before getting kicked up in to Pro class, I'm going to make sure of it.

I'll do the maths tomorrow. Once you can't be caught, you're up to Pro

Great racing with you, @Mistah_MCA, and @Kermit_2142, until I clipped the grass braking for T1, and let the rear overtake the front :banghead:

FANTASTIC RACE GUYS!!!!

I was initially frustrated with my performance tonight as I made too many mistakes, however I really enjoyed that race it was so much fun. The cleanest Monza race I’ve ever had so big thanks to everyone. The replay is a great watch, @Mistah_MCA @AudiMan2011 @Bivittavus88 had a great battle for most of the race with many more battles going on throughout the field.
Many congratulations to @GOTMAXPOWER for the win a more than one lap in the 44s, bloody quick that is!!!

Ive added a story or race photos in order, couldn’t help myself as the lighting at monza is brilliant :D.

Looking forward to the next race!!

Seeing myself in that traffic cone of a car is too funny.

Thanks for the race everybody, that was a good combo. The car was always on the edge but you could push it pretty hard anyway.

Hey I got down to 44.3 in qualifying! I think my car was a lot quicker than anybody elses with the BB to the back.

What was your BB at? I had it at +1.

I took the car to Brands Hatch qualifying rounds and could match the Porsches soft tire time on mediums. But on hards.... Oboy it's a handful.

I had my BB at +2 and thought the car felt much faster than at BB = 0. However, I wasn't able to be consistent with laps in the 46s to keep up with faster drivers.

One thing I noticed from last night was how much later the faster drivers brake and can still make the corner. I was watching @Mistah_MCA in the practice lobby before we joined the main one and he was consistently on the brakes later than I was.

I've got a load cell brake and I can't match these braking points. I'm not the best at trail braking, so I really need to learn this to improve my lap times.

I'll get around to updating the points spreadsheet tomorrow.

Given the success of the series so far, I'm potentially looking St adding another round. Maybe two. If this is the case, the final round at Laguna Seca will remain as the final round, and I'll squeeze the extra races in between the remaining rounds.

We'll maintain the biweekly schedule, as I think it's working pretty well.

I’m really enjoying the series. More focused on it than I am the dailies.

So I’ll race in more rounds if I’m available.
