Despite being stupidly slow, i did enjoy the historic factor when driving this on GT4, why couldn't they bring it back?!

No, slow and pointless. I don't want PD wasting their time modelling something like that ahead of other more useful cars.

Can we have some Keystone Cops music to go with it and maybe a x2 playback speed for the replay :) I'd be up for the Model T 👍

It's another "cute" car, like the Swimmwagen, that is kind of fun to drive once, but for the vast majority of people will never be driven again. It's worse to race than a Kei car, and has no redeeming or revolutionary driving features other than being four wheels with an engine attached. It's a museum piece, and can be appreciated as much standing still as driving it.

While it was a car that was very influential in how cars were perceived by the general public, there are other cars that were far more influential on the driving experience. You can read about the Model T on Wikipedia.

Daimler carriage anyone?

1 HORSEPOWER!!!!!!

That would be even worse. At least the Model T can do around 40, the Daimler was a completely pointless in car game. You drove it once for ten minutes to see what it was like, realised it barely moved then never touched it again. Pointless.

Yup, imagine that...IN THE MATTERHORN CIRCUIT.
It would be a next hit in youtube beating the 500 in eiger.

I understand the Model T has "historical significance" but I honestly don't have the patience to drive a car like that. I'd rather spend my time driving the Tesla Model S than the old Ford Model T as that's a car I'm actually interested in.

Honestly, I fail to see the reason why a car that has such historical significance can't be featured on a video game that's about the history of cars.

Then don't? No one said you had to.

I can understand having the Model T, the Daimler Patentwagen or the Auto Union streamliner we had back in GT4. Those were some of the most interesting cars in the game and made of GT sort of an automotive encyclopedia. Not all cars have to be crazy fast, but they have to be fun or interesting, or at least mildly relevant. If some people can get their fix for K-Cars, which I hate, why can't I get my fix for googles n' leathercap motoring? I'm sure nobody has a fix for driving stupid WWII Volkswagens though...

I would like to see them premium but not at the cost of some cars I consider more important right now. PD just doesn't get their priorities right. Why having premium Priuses and Schwimwagens when you don't have a premium Veyron?

Absolutely ridiculous. Honestly, anyone of us could do a better job as content manager for PD...

You must be a psychic :odd:

I did the exact same thing. This car is just a car list filler like the other 35 skyline GTRs and the 8 or more R35 GTRs.

Because of time and popularity. It doesn't take a genius to work out that cars like the Model T, PatentWagen and the WWII VWs are not driven as much as the more modern cars. PD should be including cars based on their popularity because they don't have the time and resources to include everything. If a car isn't being used why use valuable time modelling it ahead of a car that would be extremely popular?

Atleast they aren't getting rid of the VW samba bus and the WWII VWs of what I know.

Hope P.D doesn't keep every single car in GT6.

I couldn't get the Daimler-Benz to reach the start line on the 'Ring - the slight rise after the chicane was too much for it...

If we had the Model T in GT6 then I would make a good 'ol T-Bucket Hot Rod

Kaz: "Make cars cool and powerful? Oh we can't possibly have that!"

*Can't install turbochargers on Lamborghinis or BMWs*

Gran Turismo is NOT about the history of cars.
It just includes certain selected historic cars.

No offence, but you're really very much mistaken. Kazunori himself has famously said that GT is more of an automotive encyclopedia.

Yes, please. Every car adds to the game, fast or slow, small or big, all that. I also want the Benz and Daimler back.

I'm more interested about race cars like a Mercedes Benz SSK, Alfa Romeo etc. from the twenties and thirties than the slow Ford T model. Most of us would be driving cars like the Ford T model for one time only, and then those cars will be forgotten.

Except that by definition, it's about driving those cars. Where's the fun in driving a Model T compared to a Lotus 49? A Bentley Blower? A Superbird? A Mach 1 Mustang?

These cars all have something special about the drive, whereas the Model T was designed as an industrial implement. It's closer to a modern tractor than it is to a car.

The historic-ness of the Model T can be celebrated without driving it. Whereas driving the cars above gives you far more insight into why they were great.

You had to drive it backwards. For some reason it was more powerful in reverse.

The T around Nordschleife was great fun! And it does well in photomode.

Yeah... I'm thinking 1 horse power is a over estimation. I've seen a horse walk up a hill.
Whatever horse Daimler found to compare their vehicles power to was sick and broken.
