Would he even have the stones to call a Class 375 "swanky"?
I would half expect him to see what Southeastern had and then get straight off again...if it even arrived.
Trust me, I know. I live within sight of one of their stations.

This thread has quickly went on the wrong track and may end up derailed. It would be more impressive if these pictures were those of the OP otherwise it doesn't require it's own thread. Rather it could be a photo gallery of the individual user's or could go in the Railfan thread as it's not a personal album.

I am originally from the South-East but moved to the Midlands and thus I have forgotten where York and Dover are. This is a huge issue for me.

I train every day to and from work. It's dull. Here is a picture just taken now while I travel.

And the type of train?

I have no idea. It's a cruddy local train, rusty not well maintained and smells somewhat of old lady pants.

It's one of these....

So a Pacer or Class 158?

The first three numbers of the train number show the train class.

To be honest I pay no attention. I get on and get off, sometimes I get a seat other times not. The rail system for commuters in the UK is poor, antiquated and costly. I hate my journeys to and from work, crammed into smelly trains with people who have never been thought manners.

The best thing to happen in a long while is the new exit which opened up at Leeds station, it means I can get out and away from the crowds quickly and cuts about 10 minutes off my walk past the traffic spewing fumes all over me.

The rail system in the south is quite good. The northern services are shockingly poor though.

In a recent survey the three worst train operators in the country were Southeastern, Southern, and Thameslink, while the best ranked ones were all up north.

Southeastern Highspeed (The operator which is supposed to operate station on the line such as Deal and Walmer, but can't due a the sea wall being damaged) is not delayed. The service is good, the trains are well built (Since their Japanese), the only issue being the damage to the sea wall making it only possible for short commuter services linking with Dover Priory (For trains to Victoria) and at the other end Ramsgate (For the trains from Ramsgate). They are undelayed as well.

But you what the best thing about Southeastern Highspeed is (Apart from Ashford to London in 30 minutes) is that they are commuter trains if you change the timetable a bit. And when a person from up-north or from another country comes along, and a high-speeed train stops at a small town station, that'll impress them.

FUN FACT
I never got a girlfriend from showing them high speed trains stopping at a station. Actually, I never got one at all.

I'm not surprised. I don't think there are many females fanatical about trains. Or many people of any gender for that matter.

I guess I'm lucky I use the Tube for most of my journeys and because of where I pick it up I usually get a seat but I never enjoy the journey.

The only thing that entertains me is making eye contact with people for far to long and making them feel uncomfortable. Because I'm an arsehole.

Don't worry. My dad somehow got a wife and he is not just into trains but he is one of the worst people to be around that I know. You have a chance.

I haven't been back in a while as they were doing an expansion and renovations at the time. I really need to go back though.

It's quickly losing steam. I'd say it could well end up getting locked but it's hard to gauge.

Sorry about the puns. I got carriage away.

GE whiz, you could switch over to a more subtle form of puns.

Also...that Railfan Thread still exists.
