Was a few of us lagging race 2:guilty: which is odd considering we were pretty spread out.:grumpy: Joe drove the ass off the SLS race 2 he fully deserved it how he outbraked me through the second last chicane was bonkers brave:bowdown: and confirmed the Vettes achilles heel top drive sir.đź‘Ť

Oh and nice to see Jack back even if all i saw of him personally was getting his bucket and spade outta the boot.:gtpflag:

Had a quick look because I did not know what happened. Every thing is cool. Racing incident
 
Race 1, outbraked myself trying a pass into Mulsanne corner and went straight on into the gravel. If I'd kept the brakes slammed on, it would have tried to spin and would probably have gone worse. I went to the tarmac at the back of the gravel and used it to rejoin quickly. Then 2 turns later everyone is either off the track or slowing for others, so I march up to 3rd. Battled with rolo and nel but messed it up in Porsche curves and couldn't get 3rd back due to that (I turned into them both seperately and accidentally, causing me to go wide), so finished 4th.

Race 2, shot off the line and was the first car behind the Lambos. One went off in the second turn and then it was all about drafting with nel. JB soon caught up and passed us, leaving me and nel to try and bumpdraft back into JB's draft. Nel wanted to pit at the end of lap 5 (yes I heard your horn and saw where you drove ;)), but I was the closest I'd been to JB at that point. I got his draft on the first straight of the Mulsanne and would have tried a pass into the Mulsanne corner if it wasn't for the lag sending JB backwards/me forwards while I was close behind him.

I pitted behind JB that lap, but came out in front of him. He then got back in front and I focused on staying in his draft and trying to get in front wherever possible. On the 2-3 laps before his pitstop JB's car was sliding badly out of the Porsche curves, and since I couldn't make a pass stick anywhere without him drafting straight back past, I took advantage of this on the final lap. I got a good run out of the turn and dived down his inside into the Ford chicanes. It's single file traffic only from there. I also had dirty tires from the pass, so I just stayed on the racing line and held on by 0.095


Also, I couldn't sleep properly last night, so I raced with 2-3 hours of sleep only. :crazy:

Sounds like we had quite the action-packed season opener. Curse you network maintenance for making me miss out! *shakes an angry fist in the air*
 
Anyone who raced lastnight that cant make nextweek can we have a headsup as early as possible please really helps me and the Toad sort places out:cheers:
Toffe will obviously return nextweek which would in theory give us a full grid:tup:

Perhaps the maintenance last night screwed me, I did a connection test after the race and although it was low I still had 12.8/1.6.

I can't make it next week mate, race truck testing at Nogaro ;-)

Race 1 will be table positions and r2 will be reverse grid?

Enjoyed last night tho, quite tough on such a fast track as 1 mistake was likely to wipe 1 or 2 others out.

Broke 4mins too one 1 lap (without draft) so was pretty chuffed :D

Correct mate and welldone the more you race these beasts the better you will become then ya hooked!!!!!!!!:drool:
 
I haven't read every new post yet, but if someone has the replay of the short race, feel free to send the replay file to me and I can make a replay video of it!

By the way, I got my driver's license so I'm a legal driver now hehe :sly::cool:
