Just wanna know quick opinions, I was 7 tenths up on a RWD lap time going through 2nd sect, hit 138 on hanger straight, aced last 3 corners and ended up 3 tenths down. Do you think it is physically possible to gain up that much time in 1sect (on me at silverstone) no slipstreams, when I have had perfect final sect....

brendon, i told you im adamant i didnt cut it
anyway, i just proved that my 16.5, is 110% legal didnt i, so a slow time like that 'cut' lap doesn't matter

I know that lap was but that lap was 5tenths slower in final sect, its just not right that you gain up 7tenths on the likes of rolo using mads setup in final sector I am I am not saying you purposely cut, as it is easy to blindly cut a lot of corners here, but to go from a 38.1 first split, 1:38.1 middle split, 2:16.8 lap isn't possible >.<

Edit: my times where 37.6 1st split, 1:37.2 2nd split 2:16.9 lap, see my point? And sorry it was only 8 tenths gain bad math

The point I am trying to get across applys to everyone, its that, here you have to,be extra careful, even if you don't realize you cut it really shows in laptime.

m8, 2 wheels between the white lines at all times. what the hell have i been doing all day? practicing my precision.
yeah mads set up m8, i stole it from him. i'll just have to work it on my own then wont i

Dude chill, I am not saying you purposely cut a corner so relax, I am saying it may have been accidental because that much time gain through a sector with the longest straight, isn't doable. Plus I am just using as an example here, I never even stated your name at first, I was asking opinions to see if they thought I was wrong. Just relax youput a faster lap in that I AGREED was legit. I am just making a point. Even I have accidently cut 2nd part of last chicane, only needs a tiny cut for a large speed advantage for straight.

if you want to cut that chicane ask mad ;) but that straight kills the nissan, and since i've got the hang of the wheel, its impossible to cut, the kerbs completely throw the car

its not as I have seen rolo do it :P and me for that matter * my wheel times are secret ;)

Edit:Phone deleted most of message. Its just my origional point is that its easy to cut this course without realising. Is my point, no more on subject, but yeah I can't wait to get my wheel as I am alot faster*

Sorry to interject, I'm one of diesels testers.

If it's a clean lap according to the 'red, white and blue' lap time display, it's a clean lap. End of.

Unless specifically stated by the series manager /regulator prior to any testing at the specific track. For example; cutting the concrete at turn 4 of deep forest, the game allows 4 wheels fully onto the concrete, but I have raced in series requiring two wheels to stay on tarmac.

this is a series that requires 2 wheels on tarmac and where I am getting at is my lap was 2 wheels off to inside and the striahgt hits Nissan more then scirocco, if you see my point of why I say its easy to cut here without realising as kurbs don't feel much feedback

Just to clarify, the 2 wheels on track rule means all of 2 wheels inside the white line. If this means you are able to take grass, take grass.

This isn't real life racing so no point pretending it is.

By on tarmac I meant on track x) (in white lines) am seriously tired, while lapping today, I had to write a statement so my brain is utterly friend and I can't get the scirocco sound out of my head

Go to sleep. Stop drinking Monster like a typical teenager. :sly:

Well that's fair enough.

I haven't seen a video or picture of the corner in question, but I just wanted to give a (sightly) outside opinion.

Brendon, whilst I can see your point regarding the splits, I've seen a good few reports that splits can get messed up, for some bizarre reason, in gt6.

Also, this particular section is key to a good lap here, and it may just be that he nailed that section beautifully, as unlikely as that may or may not be.

last chicane 2nd part is one I am on about, if you cut across the green kurb u gain a few mph and a bit of time.

To be honest that's an incredibly easy corner to cut, I do it a lot :indiff:
same as me, I thought a 16.4 was legit then my friend typed "you got all 4 wheels inside on last bit of chicane" so I redid lap ( to the hundreth in 1st two, sects) and it was 16.8

Yes. Obviously I think you'd prefer to make it through though, so you can score points for the overall championship.
I know that if I don't make it for top 14, then I won't have my place reserved to BTCC-8. But I can sign-up anyway, right? There will be 2 spots left.

The situation has changed. It's now the Top 10 who automatically reserve a place. Pre-Qualifying is happening again.

Yes you will be able to sign up when the process opens tomorrow at 10pm.

that will be done by some sort of lotto

Remember it isn't like that any more.

I have all cars ready. I tested the C63 AMG and Jaguar. The Jaguar is more quicker than C63.

Well that's all well and good... But have any of us seen the lap in question from @DirtyNurbKing58?

I'm just saying that I think it is unfair to imply that he must have cut a corner to get the time.

Until a replay has been verified, there is little point in debate. Even then, it would be clear, and indisputable, and therefore still be pointless to debate.

damn I was about to sleep, the debate isn't so much saying "TRUE CUT A CORNER KILL HIM" Its me trying to make a point that he could have cut ot without realising with the time he put. It is ne trying to tell people to be very warey and if you are prone to cutting by accident, use outside view :P
