I recently bought a Logitech G29 to use with GT Sports on my PS4. I contemplated building a PVC rig however, couldnt find a plan that was compact enough to be stored in my Living room discretely.
I picked up the below from my local IKEA store is UAE to put together the rig for a total cost of ~USD 20 .
ODDVALD Trestle- USD 15
APTITLIG Chopping Board- USD 4.99
Bolted together with some screws. The board has been placed such that the steering wheel weight is counterbalanced to reduce the strain on the board or trestle and prevent toppling over of the trestle.
The rig is fairly stable and I have been able to use it on my couch/dining chair with ease and lap times have been improving with practice.
